I drew this 2 years ago, completely drawn on miscrosoft paint with a mouse. Took me 15 hours to do. I looked at a real photo of me and drew it our on the computer. I'm very pleased with how it came out.
I'm sick of hearing "This goes under the copy law/tracing. No it doesn't, it was not traced and I did base it off the picture, but it's a picture of myself. And obviously gaia has a section for reference picture for a reason. >.>; - Date: 10/02/2008

Not if it's my own picture, if it had belonged to another artist then yes, I understand that. But since it's my own, I don't see it as copying.
What? Am I supposed to draw myself from memory, no. In art class people look at pictures of themself of a mirror to draw their self portrait, this isn't any different.
And what about the people in here who look at picture of Naruto and other animes and copy that, you chew me out for a drawing of myself while there's tons of other people out there copy. - Report As Spam

like I said, read the copy faq: Q. What do you mean copying? I didn't trace it, I drew it myself while I was looking at a picture!
A. Yes, people reply with this... a lot. In answer: If you look at a picture and try to replicate it, that's called copying.
