- Title: Lucivar Yaslana
- Artist: Firrerreo
- Description: A CG rendering (Maya, ZBrush) of Lucivar, a character from Anne Bishop's Black Jewels novels. This was my first foray into subsurface scattering and extensive use of Mental Ray. As you can probably tell, I was running out of time on the assignment which explains the ugly rock-throne thing.

- (Maya and zbrush ftw) I'd have to say good job so far. This was an assignment, I assume you are still in school, and as such still learning, it's quite a pretty picture. The silhouette is dynamic and offcentered (yay), though I can't tell what the leg is doing. right hand grips weird. Watch you tangents, his left arm on the 'throne' share one, Is he leaning on it or floating there. Try an intense blue tinted lower light source for the figure to increase contrast.
