Teochew is a dialect of Chinese. Teochew Opera is a form of traditional performing arts in China and many parts of South-east Asia.
Taken in Singapore in 2006 during the month of the Hungry Ghost Festival (typically August each year). It is customary to leave the front row of seats empty for the 'hungry ghosts' who are believed to be released from Hell to roam on Earth for a month, hence the name "Hungry Ghost Festival".
