It is a cold June summers day and all seems fine. Clear breeze, slight chill and quietness in the little town called Halen. The fields stretched out as far as the mountains showed and grass laid there while people walked through their lush stems. A small home was seen just a few miles from where a young girl lived. She was small, but had a heart of gold. She walked through the grass every day and waved to plants and greeted each one. Her mother smiled at her and her neighbor would seem to run along with her while she ran and fell each time. They laughed a lot and enjoyed the company each one gave each other.
On this day, something happened. While the young girl ran through the field, a small round stone was lying there and she picked it up. She went home and showed her mother, she glared at it and told her she would keep it besides her because she loved it and her daughter gave it to her. She wore it like a necklace showing its aura of rainbow colors as the sunlight hit it just right.
Later on that evening while she was making dinner, she suddenly fell to the ground and her body was weakening. The food suddenly got on fire and then the house was on fire as well. The little girl saw what was going on and rushed home to see where her mother was. Before long she spotted her and she saw things that she did not wish to see in a life time. Her mom was lying on the floor all burnt and blacken by the fire. Her eyes filled with tears and suddenly some one grabbed her and rushed her out. Fire had got on her arm and from the day since then, she wore a covering that was metal, but she told her self that if any thing happened again like that, she would protect that person or people. She has the necklace day and wears it like a gift or memory from long ago.
No one in Halen knows what happened exactly, but only that a beloved mother died of death due to a fire. People believe that the necklace may have been work of god or demons, but no one is sure. Today is the tenth anniversary of the death and now the girl who was once five when it happened is now fifth-teen and full of bright young sprite. She walks around the town and helps people out for the sake that these people have been taking care of her all her life.
A message came to her on this day, but it seemed odd since she has never gotten mail before. She read it and it clearly stated:
“Dear Ms. Kalen,
Today is the tenth anniversary of your mother’s death and we are sorry. We bring you news that you indeed are the next sorceress in your family blood line. We ask you that you come to Weatheren as quickly as you can. We hope that you can attend a school for magic and non-magic students and we will help you as best as we can. The necklace that you now wear was a sign long ago that you would inherit the magic gene from your farther who we know not of where he is. I know today may be rough on you, but you except this letter; we will make sure you get the best education that we can give to you.
From the head master”
She looked confused and new that before the her mother’s death that she did act a little different and there were things that she could not explain, even if she did, they never appeared normal to any one, except her neighbor who always seemed to notice the same thing with him as well. She ran to her neighbor’s home and stood in front to the door way. She knocked once and then another time and he answered.
“Hey there Hikari. So, you usually don’t come to my door step unless there is something happening. Anything up?” He asked kindly.
“Um ya. I got this letter of some sort, it is weird because I never get mail, but it is about a school, a school of magic of some sort, well it says non-magic as well.” She said with a smile.
“So you got one too. Mine says the same thing, but it says I get mine from just something else, not family, but on my own. So, are you going?”
“I’m unsure. I like to go, but I want to know if you’re going Kenji. I want to know so I can have friend there.”
“I might, it will be a new start and we can get away from this small town. After all, magic is something that any man or women would wish to have but can never get and being special is great.” He said with a smile.
“Well then, I guess we will be off to go to this school. Well, do you want to leave tomorrow?” she asked kindly.
“Sure.” He said.
So they went to there homes, or her home for now and waited for the next day. Things seemed to be bright for her now, she was finally happy and joyful and she stared up at the stars and counted each one and went to bed.
They got up the next day and had all items packed. They both headed out the door and started to walk on what was going to be a long journey.
Chapter 2
They walked on leaving their small town of Halen, but they knew that this was something they needed and must do. They would stop on the sides of roads and chat for a while and then would take small breaks to eat. When night came they set up their things, made a fire and watched the stairs and then eventually went to sleep. They could hear the birds and the bees, ants by feet and the now and then they heard sounds coming out of the bushes. When morning came, they packed up and headed out. They meet people on the way going the same route and eventually they made friends with these people.
There were three boys and two girls that came along with them. They all seemed to be around there age except for one who was eighteen and seemed to be going for the thrill and learning.
Every one was glad that we all meet. One was a boy who loved to make potions and could cure any one within a second as well, he was short, but his appearance made you think otherwise. His hair was long and his eyes were a calm blue. The other boy was eighteen but seemed to be a gentle man. He liked to learn and told us he wanted to teach magic and help others around him. He made Hikari blush and for a while she seemed to have a small crush, but she tried not to show it too much. The last boy was a young child, but he knew every thing to magic and non-magic. He would tell them stories about how the world really came to be and how every one started out with a special gift and every one still does. He wanted to teach as well, but more in history and not much of using the gift he owns.
The two girls were twins and they all fought, but one seemed shy and other seemed to have a lot of spunk in her. They were opposites of each other, but had only a few things that they both liked. One wants to be nurse in magic and the other wants to be a flying teacher, she loves to be spunky in sports and says flying can be fun, but you must know how to handle the art of it. Every said that each one of them was like a witch or wizard, but we thought that stuff like that was for the little children. They thought sorcerer and sorceress were better and an intellectual way of saying we have the ability of magic and like magic. As our journey went on, we thought we made it till a note in front of the door stood in our way.
“Dear students,
Our school has been shut down for a while and will be shut down for times to come. We are sorry and we do hope that you come next year.
From the head master”
Suddenly some one made a statement.
“It is not closed down. If it was then there would be gate or wall of some sort that would not let us pass. I think a spell or something was used here as a test. What do you guys think?” said Granier.
“Hmm, seems odd that a note was used here instead of something like that. I bet a simple protection spell was used here and in that case then using a small beam of aura should open the walls, but then again it might take more beams to open it. That is all I am saying.” said Krystal.
“I agree with you Krystal and then if we have every one stand at each section of the walls then it should point towards center and it should open. If every one would stand at least an inch or more away from each other and point out your auras at the door, then it should open. Alright.” said Kiyoshi.
“Alright.” Every one said.
Each held there hands out and it at the door. Auras of many colors came out of each of them. The door started to open and Kiyoshi said to do it harder or with more force and the door opened and then stood a man who was some what old, but seemed bright. He told them to go with him and they followed. He said that others have been waiting as well and shortly there will be a sorting of each students to each type class.
Each class had the smart like level, or based upon how smart you are and all that non-sense. They all wanted to be in the same “house”, but who knows. Hikari felt nervous and felt like she was about to faint, but her mothers words came to her and told her to be calm and never be worried. She knew that was true and did just that, calmed down and waited.
When every one came in, it was about to start and they told us each house and then it began.

- The story looks pretty good so far, but why are almost all the first names Japanese? I hope that you intend to make those characters Japanese and change their last names to fit their first. If not, I suggest changing their names.
