"City"
Like a million eyes watching, waiting in the night - silent and hazy at a distance but up close, so alive. A life within life, an entity all its own, the city breathes and the city lives. Its heartbeat is the footsteps, the frazzled array of sounds that twist and float and form a single voice and the voice calls more in, and the heartbeat traps them there forever because everyone knows that once you dwell within those limits a piece of you always remains, like a fingerprint of your soul that shapes and makes the city what it is.
You can try to leave, you can change your name and your face and try to forget those dark days of wandering dirty streets, of listening to those bold sounds and seeing those buildings glimmering like ice on every corner, but even if you forget, even if you manage to tuck those thoughts away the city will remember. The city never forgets, and despite its sharp edges the city wait for you. If one day you find yourself walking those streets again, struck by feelings of nostalgia you never knew you held, the city will welcome you back with its heartbeat to lull you to sleep as its million eyes come alive in the night.

"Autumn"
All the world is a crackle of leaves. Crackle, crackle, and a rustle, and the wind pushes and pulls the trees, attempting to rid them of their orange-and-brown adornments, and the sound they make is like the laughter of the earth, like the planet hasn't a care in the world because this is the time when it shouldn't. This is a time to enjoy the color, enjoy the sights and sounds of the leaves coating every inch of ground, because in the blink of an eye it will all be gone, covered and coated with a blanket of white in the muted, dead sleep of winter. Winter will come and silence this, snuff out the colors and and the crackle and leave you with a monochrome world of white-to-grey, all cold and ice and though Autumn has that n**, that chill in the air, the colors of the leaves are there to comfort and warm you.
Autumn has the power to make you think of children who giggle and roll down hills and the thoughts make you want to do the same, they make you want to find a hill and fall, forget your worries like the world's forgotten his and think of nothing but that thrill of falling, falling, but safe - safer than you've ever been before, because in autumn the leaves are falling, and you are falling - the leaves are dying, but you will never die, because you are bright and happy and full of the laughter of the earth.
You can wait until winter to die... for now, just falling will suffice.

- Autumn reminds me of Fire and Ice...possibly because of the ending? Or maybe the environment. *shrugs* Very nice work.
