It’s been two days since Ark, Ayala and Terra set out to find Flare to stop the carnage made by Spectre, only to be blocked off by a mysterious stranger.
To make matters worse; Tergo, the Supreme Commander of the Machines, is nearing the Mountain Tribe, where they hope to eradicate those who might form a resistance and oppose Spectre.
The story continues…
Terra inspected the mysterious person with a weird glow, he seem to have an aurora around his body; similar to that of…
“You can stop the charade, Flare.” Terra said, the stranger was not convinced, he has been wary of people since the days of the war.
“How do I know you’re not a spy in disguise, I seen that during the Purge?” replied Flare, who began to draw energy.
Terra transformed in the Spirit of Light. Flare dropped his energy back to normal.
“Because I’am the Spirit of Light, sent here along with my friends to look for you!” she commanded.
“Okay, I believe you. We best get moving” Flare said, and walked up the mountain path. Terra resumed her human form and beckoned Ark and Ayala to follow. Flare whilstled a tune that was heavenly to the travellers. And out of nowhere, several people appeared, armed with a spear and shield.
“Come, we must discuss this with our tribe members” said Flare. All of them took a secret path. Ark and Ayala marvelled at some of the old pictures and statues that have been recovered from different ages. After a few minutes, they were in some kind of cavern. Several fires were burning as they saw huts, houses and tents all around the cavern.
Ayala whispered to Ark, finally realising where they are.
“Ark, We are within the Mountain Tribes homeland.” Said Ayala excitely, she loved special tribes and places like this.
Finally, they came to a halt, and some of the Mountain Tribe went inside the big tent. The smaller people went inside for something, and out came several tall people. One of them was very old and has lived for a long time; he spoked in a language that only Flare, Terra and the tribe could understand. To Ark and Ayala, it sounded weird and different.
“Why have you brought strangers here? These could be spies from the Evil One!” shouted the Old Man.
“They do not served the Dark Lord, but they served Gaia, the Spirit of Life.” Said Flare.
“Gaia has summoned us because she is in trouble, we wouldn’t be here otherwise.” Said Terra.
“We understand you, but the two humans are a threat.” Said one of the other younger chiefs, he made a signal and all the tribe members circled Ayala and Ark.
“Wait, please spare them, they could be useful to our Tribe” said Flare.
The old man looked at this with some thought, he told the others to get back and then turned his attention to Ark and Ayala. He spoke to them both with english, as if he could change his language at will.
“Maybe we can use you after all, I will be speaking to Flare and Terra, my tribe shall look after you until we reached a verdict.” Said the Old Man. Flare, Terra, the Old man and several other chiefs went to the big hut.
Meanwhile, on the out-skirts of Pelen Mountains…
Tergo, the Supreme Commander, was with his army of 50. He decided to go on his own. He ordered two others to follow and told the rest to wait there and any that come through must be questioned. He was walking up until he shall the same cavern that the others passed through…
Back at the cavern…
The Old Man was speaking to Flare and Terra, the rest of them went to check on Ark and Ayala, who was looking around at the area and the drawings.
“I don’t why I should care, they will not find us easily, and I think we can take them on.” Said the Old Man. He may looked old, but he seem to be radianting some kind of energy.
“But these are not mere humans, elves or orces like the old days, these are The Machines, as the prophecy predicted by Gaia and several other high members.” Said Terra.
“Before we go on to this matter, there’s something I do not quite understand; Flare, you told me that all the Elementals were killed at the hands of the Dark Lord and his servants, yet why is she here?”
“Because at the time I could not sense her presense, Anki, when Gaia became a prisoner of the Dark Lord; my connection broke. In fact, my connection broke shortly after she sent me here to live with you.” Said Flare.
Anki looked at all thise with thought…
Meanwhile, Ark and Ayala was taken a tour around the drawings and culptures. Geren, one of the fighters of the tribe, told them what some of the picutres and culptures were.
“That one is a statue made by Hellfire, the eternal god of Hellfire, he made it out of his power.” He pointed at the statue with the beast of top of it.
“Whats this one?” pointing at another statue. Altough it was a bit worn out, the people looked familiar.
“That is…the Triumph over Darkness; it was built after the final battle. The Spiirts gathered their strength and gave it to three people, Gaia and two mysterious strangers that came out of nowhere. Not even our tribe know it, theres a painting showing the a bit of the battle.
Geren took them to the far wall. Ark and Ayala could not help but gasp. One side shown the rampaging destruction of the Darkness and their servants. Another one shown The King of Darkness lock swords with Light and Flare. The last one shows the King being slain by Gaia and locked away forever (Untill it broke free) Strange enough, the old drawings was painted with a colour that looked like…
“Blood. That was the old ways on how we draw the future, now we have found inks to do the job, rather than using our own blood.” Said Geren cooly.
All of a sudden, they heard a stomping noise, getting closer and closer. Ark, Ayala and Geren ran away to tell the others. When they got there, Geren told them to raise the defenses. Geren went to the big hut to warn Anki, Flare and Terra. A strange substance covered the entrance, everyone was hoping this would work…but it didn’t.
Tergo blasted the door open with a grenade; the substance exploded and everyone ran in fear. Tergo silenced the noise with a flash bang, all was quiet.
‘The Area and everyone now belongs to Spectre, the New King of Darkness. Please do not resist or you shall perished a painful death.
Anki, who had never been afraid of anything in his life, spoke to Tergo with a will of fire.
“You shall not have this land or any of my people, you want them, you have to defeat me first!” shouted Anki. Anki ran up to Tergo, only to be tossed aside. The others headed towards Anki’s aid.
“We do not want to hurt you, we just wanna help you. So step aside, old man” said one of the soldiers.
“Do what he says, or you shall face a wrath more powerful than his” said Flare.
The two foot-soldiers grabbed their guns and started firing, little did they know that this was one of the Elementals. Flare evaded the bullets and blasted the bodies of the soldiers, leaving nothing but burnt parts.
“Y-you and Elemental? The last of them?” Tergo said, who appeared to be scared. Flare didn’t want to fight, so made Tergo a deal.
“If you leave here, without telling anyone where we are, we shall spare you and we will move out. Otherwise, I shall melt the circuits in your body?” commanded Flare.
Tergo took this with some thought; he could leave here alive or be destroyed by a force more powerful than that of the Machines? Without warning, he disappeared.
“Smart move, but we have got to get out of here; before more of them come back.” Said Terra.
The others did not want to go, they have lived here for generations.
“Listen, I know you do not want to leave your home, but if you don’t, you’ll be destroyed like the rest of them.” Ark spoke with a kindness that made Anki move from his home.
“There is another mountain that we can live in peace, but before we do; I want to remove The Machines from this Planet once and for all!! We shall mount a resistance to strike back at the Darkness, there a kingdom further in the north that the Machines do not go near, I say we go there!!!” yelled Anki with a yell of pride.
Two hours later, before they were readying to go, Ark was painting on the wall.
Geren, who had to go look for Ark, saw him painting.
“What are you painting on the wall? Is it the future of all of us?” asked Geren politely.
“I was going to finished my painting before we left, but with the confusion, I won’t get a chance.” Ark said sadly. Ark showed Geren the unfinished painting, and it showed the world, blessed with bright light and harmony.
“Do not worry, when we return, we shall finished it off together” said Geren.
As the two walked together with the rest; Geren looked the painting one last time, hoping that one day that will happen…and they shall vanquish the Darkness for ever…
