• PART 3

Nate glanced at his watch, he had been walking for half an hour, it would take two hours on foot to reach the train satiation and it was already pretty dark. right in front of him stood a forest, it looked pretty dark in there, but luckily he wasn’t afraid of the dark. there was a wooden gate there with a sign for Salcombe Hill National Trust, he could always rest here for the night, the trees would provide shelter if it was to rain and he imagined it to be quite cozy in there. and besides, if his mom and George were to come looking for him – which he doubted very much – this would be the last place they would look, he didn’t even like nature, that would put them of the scent. Nate smiled swung himself over the gate and trudged into the woods.

Ginger stared at dale in horror, why was he here? and more importantly, who was he?
“W-what am I doing here?” ginger said so quietly that it was almost inaudible, she was so frightened, dale smiled at her.
“you’re here for a little experiment, or two. basically staying here.”
    “Where’s, mom?”
“Your moms not here, you’ll never see here again I’m afraid.” Blunt and to the point as usual, dale didn’t think there was any point in lying to her, otherwise he would have to carry on lying until she was… so he might as well of just came out and said it.
“What?!” ginger exclaimed, her heart was thumping quickly. “Why?”
“Well, I don’t have time to go over all the details right now so maybe later.” but i highly dought it... he added in his head. Ginger went silent. “Now, you just lie there and count to ten.”
    “Why…?”
“Just do it.” Ginger, feeling unsure and reluctant, lay her head back onto the metal table and slowly counted to ten. One. Two. there were lots of tubes attached to her and she saw dale take the end of one of them, the one that was attached to her wrist, and fed it into a bottle with some pink liquid in. three. Four. Five. Six. Dale glanced at her as the tube started to suck up all the pink liquid, the tube ran into her wrist. Sevan. E-..Eight. She suddenly started to feel vey tired, and she yawned, there was no harm in just closing her eyes for a second wilst she counted. Ni… and she was out. Dale attached the end of the tube back into a bored with others then went over to a desk, he listened to ginger breathing. how did he even end up with this job? He pressed a button on an intercom that was sitting on the desk. “she’s out.” He said, then let go. a couple of minuets later three other people in white lab coats came In, one of them had a syringe with some sort of black liquid in “find out everything you can about her.” Dale said to them, They nodded then set to work. Just then, dales mobile phone vibrated in his coat pocket, the 3 people looked up at him, he wasent supposed to keep his phone on. He waved a hand at them to keep going and went out of the room. He pressed the recive button. “yes?”
this is Dale isn’t it?” came the other voice “Dale Bessant?
“yes, who may I say is speaking and how can I help?”
forget the name, I just have a job for you.” Dale listened as the man talked, this was going to be interesting.

    George put the phone down
“who were you talking to?” Martha said as she came into the living room.
“Oh…just an old friend…” she smiled at him and sat next to him on the sofa, he put his arm around her.
“do you know were nate is?” she suddenly said, looking up at him, george blinked and did his best pretend-suprized-concerned face.
    “isn’t he in his room?”
“no.” he paused for a second as if he was thinking, then said-
“oh, I remember now, he said earlier that he was going to sleep over at a friends.” marthas brow furrowed.
“oh…I wonder why he dident tell me.”
“well, I would of, but im afraid I forgot. Sorry…love” he said. smiling, he dropped a kiss on her cheek and lightly squeezed he shoulder a little, Martha smiled back.
