Sinful Lies
A small girl walked back and forth, up and down the halls of her home. She was alone at the moment, all alone. She stopped and ran her fingers over the message that was written on the wall. She didn't quite understand. She couldn't quite wrap her mind around this one thought, the only thought she could think.
'How could they... die?' She thought. 'Why would they leave me here, alone?'
What happened was, the day before her father's will was made final. Then today, she came home to find her parents, dead. The note on the wall said
Dearest Kimiko,
I'm sorry Kimiko. I truly am. You see, dad's will was going to gave us everything we would ever need. I wanted to make you my little princess. With everything we were to get from your dad's I could have made you that princess. Now I realize, I was wrong. So, to make up for my mistake, I will end my life here and give you everything your dad and I ever wanted you to have. Try to smile always my dearest Kimiko. Goodbye. I'll see you in the afterlife.
~Mom (Raven Saron)
'It must have been a sinful lie. This couldn't be true. They couldn't really be dead... could they?' Little Kimiko asked herself.
She ran back to her parents’ bedroom, for the 10th time since she got home. She checked for their pulses and heartbeats again. Still nothing. Kimiko ran her hands across the floor, bringing them to land in her lap. A small tear ran down her face.
'They couldn't die! They wouldn't leave me here alone . . . would they? How could they? WHY would they?' Then she remembered something. She went back over to her mother’s body. There was a small revolver lying there.
"A dear Juliet . . . A small revolver . . . A gun . . . A weapon of mass murder . . . A tool that causes death . . . The thing that caused the death of her parents . . ." Kimiko heard in her head. "Mom said she would see you in the afterlife. Maybe the afterlife will come sooner for you then your mother thought . . ."
Kimiko picked up the gun.
'What would one life mean to the world? No one seemed to care about my parents’ death.'
Kimiko clutched the handle of the gun.
“Do you have the strength, to die?” the voice asked.
‘I don’t know . . .’ Kimiko thought, ‘Am I strong enough to follow my parents into the land of the dead?’
“Life is just a sinful lie Kimiko . . . Your mother knew the sinful lies of this world, and now, you know them too . . .” the voice said.
“This . . . is all just a . . . sinful lie?” Kimiko asked.
“Yes Kimiko, this is all just a sinful lie . . . nothing more! End it here and the sinful lie will be nothing more then a memory!” the voice seemed to be stronger and louder than before.
Kimiko placed the gun to the side of her head.
“Just pull the trigger Kimiko, and then all the sinful lies of this world will disappear. Life is nothing but a twisted game . . . you have to understand that. All you have to do Kimiko is pull that trigger.
“Don’t worry mom…” Kimiko whispered. “I’ll be with you soon.”
The shot rang through the empty and silent house.
It ended there, the sinful lies of this world were no more… or at least for Kimiko…

Oooh, how wonderfully emotionally dark!
At the moment, I can't think of many flaws. 4/5 - Report As Spam
