• It’s all falling apart,
    Everything,
    I have my note ready,
    I pick up my cordless phone,
    I dial the number I know by heart,
    He sensed something is wrong,
    I sigh, “Alex.”
    He already knows what’s happening,
    I’ve attempted this before but he stopped me.
    I hang up with my rope in my hand,
    I walk to my happy place,
    The Scout Hall,
    I have my favourite climbing tree in front of me,
    I climb up the rough surface,
    I tie the rope up and put it around my neck,
    I slide my note though the elastic band around my wrist so someone finds it,
    I close my eyes,
    To listen to the world one last time,
    It’s quite luckily not eerie,
    I’m not scared,
    I’m glad the world’s going to be missing another person.
    I know Alex won’t get here in time,
    I don’t want him to,
    He needs to stop worrying about me and go out with his girlfriend more,
    I love him but he’s never showed anything more than friendship,
    I can’t stay in this world any longer,
    I breathe in the air one more time keeping my eyes closed,
    I hear rustling but don’t hesitate,
    I put one foot forward,
    I hear a weird noise,
    Like cutting,
    I ignore it.
    I jump I fall but I just keep falling,
    I don’t feel a tug of the rope or nothing at all,
    I land on a squishy yet I can still feel the ground,
    I open my eyes,
    I’ve landed on my bottom on a bean bag,
    I look up to see Alex jump down from the tree.
    “Why did you save me?” I ask annoyed.
    “I should have told you a long time ago...”
    “Zander what are you talking about?”
    He sits down on the bean bag across from me.
    “Asha...I’ve tried denying these feelings to make sure you wouldn’t hurt anymore but....”
    “...But?”
    “I see trying to protect you is hurting you more....I love you Asha, always have ever since that time I talked to you on msn, I never knew you but we really connected, the stars say different but they’re wrong....your my other half your my Bella and I’m your Edward.”
    I start to cry,
    “Asha please don’t cry, I’m telling you this so you don’t ever bleed again, I was trying to be your Jacob but just your best friend, your sun, but I can see it’s only hurting you more.”
    “I....I....I love you too ZD, but if you find someone else I’ll be broken again...”
    “Didn’t you listen to a word I said? I said I’m your Edward and you’re my Bella, I can NEVER leave you! And if you don’t believe it, I show you!”
    He leans in and our lips touch, they don’t part, but they’re not crushing me either.
    After a minute Zander leans back, “Now do you believe me?”
    I smile, he then stands up,
    “Come on the Sophie and Jack are going to be looking for us....and I’ll think they’ll be happy to hear we finally are boyfriend and girlfriend!”
    He grins and that makes me blush,
    All of a sudden he does something unexpected,
    He picks me up and carries me in his arms and whispers “Sleep my Bella, sleep.”
    I drift off until everything is quite and dark, I know I’m going to be able to sleep and not bleed anymore, I can heal and never have to hurt anymore.
