    Lost Of Leberai

    Part V: To-ni Tengoku

Sorely her eyes gaze at his colorful figure. Resembling some sort of centaur, the great forest god is in his half-form. Half human, and half elk.

"No matter how much pain, you will still hope. No matter how dark, you will still shine. No matter how much they hate, you will still love. Rakashael, sweet hearts never wither. You, my love, have a sweet heart." Kukunochi looks at her lovingly.

His precious child shivers and rocks, trying to force the tears back.

"No...no, no... please, please stop.... I am Selegania! I cannot cry! I WILL not cry!!" Intensely Rakashael stands and throws her head back.

With all her might, she attempts to not sob. Eventually Rakashael digs herself deeper still. From behind them; that familiar energy comes closer. Rakashael and Kukunochi turn to see Amoranth. Standing, Kukunochi breaks an uncomfortable silence.

"I must now leave you. Rakashael, do not give up." Kukunochi walks past Amoranth towards the Latoropai Well. Soon, the bright and colorful god of the forest is gone. Leberai returns to its gloomy state, and Rakashael falls into herself again.

"Do not forget where you are Rakashael. The laws of Leberai do not allow those worthless feelings." States the surly Amoranth.

Agreeing, she puts her head down. "Why weren't you at the Enilai?" Moving her head up slightly, Rakashael looks slightly confused.

"Enilai? Why did you want me t-..."

"Kukunochi-sama wished to meet all my guards. Did Guilderek not tell you?"

"I last saw him at the well with you, so, I'm afraid not."

"Hm... I see... what did Guilderek say to you when I left?" Amoranth detects a reminiscent glimmer in Rakashael's eyes.

"He didn't say anything important." Closer Amoranth comes to her.

"What did he say?" In a demanding tone he asks. Rakashael becomes quiet.

"Rakashael, What Did He Say?" Somewhat flustered, Rakashael glares at Amoranth, "Why do you care?!" Swiftly he freezes and glares at her in shock.

Most other creatures would be terrified to even talk to Amoranth, let alone yell at him. However, Rakashael bears her fangs (figuratively) without reserve. Quickly Amoranth turns and walks away. Rakashael remains standing on the cliff in confusion. The wind breathes past her and again instills that familiar cold in her heart. Somewhere below Rakashael; a world is in full-fledged war. Swordsmen and shadow warriors struggle for power; many of their leaders grow desperate and stupid. For ages it seems this war has quietly raged on. Villages and families torn apart by political opinion and its tendency to grow violent. Only three villages remain untouched in all of this chaos. One village called Risou Seigi is surrounded by thick forests, huge waterfalls, and swift rivers. The other is in the middle of a harsh desert; Hokori is it's name. Lastly, there is the village of the highest mountain in the world. So high it is, no one has ever reached the top. To-ni Tengoku, as it is known, is renowned for it is said to be the home of a god. Not far from that little village is a shrine. Legend has it that this shrine is the passage way to the Heavens. Among the massive trees travels a little girl and her brothers. Playfully the little girl caresses the trees. Her long black hair tussles in the gentle breeze; her pristine blue eyes shimmer in the fading sunlight.

"Imoto-chan, ikimasho. Okurasemasho."(Little sister, lets go. Lets not be late.) Her eldest brother urges her. Sweetly she smiles and obeys him.

"Hiroshi-ni-san, doshite, Himitsu Komichi e ikimasu ka?" (Hiroshi, why are we going to Himitsu Komichi?) Lovingly, Hiroshi takes his little sister's hand,

"Okasan ha tazuneitte."(We're going to visit mom.) Swiftly the little girl freezes.

"D-demo, okasan ha shinteiru... desu ne?"(B-but, mommy is dead... isn't she?) Shakily the little girl questions, trying not to weep.

Her other brother, whose hair is also black, bends down to her level, "Okasan ha shinteiru arimasen. Dake, chigau tokoro ni arimasu." (Mother isn't dead. Just, in another place.) Reassuringly her brother beckons her onward.

As the three are well within site of the shrine, Hiroshi suddenly pulls his siblings into the brush with him. A large group of hooded beings gather in a circle around the shrine.

"Hajimemasho."(Let us begin.) a raspy male voice grumbles.

Loudly the group begins chanting, "Kami tsuku yo! Shouakushi teimasu no shita watashi tachi yo!" (Spirits come forth! Under our control!)

Unexpectedly, the wind picks up and a purple circle illuminates around the chanters.

"Akito... ototo, Miyako ha toremasu, mo nige imasu."(Akito... brother, take Miyako and run.) Hiroshi orders his little brother.

Reluctantly Akito grabs Miyako, and takes off. Bravely Hiroshi uses what skill he has to sabotage their plans of summon. Miyako desperately cries out, "Hiroshi! Ie! Motoru! Motoru yo Akito!" (Hiroshi! No! Go back! Go back Akito!)

Please remember to Comment. Until next time. Rakashael.
