• 'OMG, did you say the haunted house at the end of the road?' Melissa asked, curiousity on her face. 'Errr.....' I said, trying to buy time to think of a good answer. 'Yeah' Liam said coolly. I stared at him and whispered to him, 'We cant let them in on the secret!' I insisted. He just gave me a shrug. 'It's okay, we can keep this a secret.' Cornellia said, as if she heard my whisper to Liam. I turned my head to Melissa for conformation. 'Sure, we can keep it a secret.' she said, smiling sweetly at me. I let out a sigh and said, 'Fine, Liam will tell you all about it.' The girls looked at Liam instantly. 'Okay, last night....' Liam started. As the story wound on, the girls eye's went wide open with terror and shock. I couldn't blame them, the story was so scary, yet so unbelivable. When Liam finished, both girls were already quivering with fear. Cornellia was the first one to recover. 'Oh my....' she breathed. Melissa asked, a trace of doubt in her face. 'Are you sure it's real?' I glared at her angrily and she shrank back into her seat, saying, 'Never mind.' 'Well, if you dont believe us, maybe you would like to follow us into the haunted castle and see for yourselves.' Liam said, challenging the girls like he had challenged me. Instantly, Melissa jumped up with excitement and a bit of fear. 'Sure!' Melissa nodded. 'Are you sure it's safe?' Cornellia asked. Well, that was one good thing about Cornellia, she was always taking safety precautions, like me. Unlike Melissa and Liam who always love to go on adventures. 'Of course it's safe!' Melissa said, nudging her friend. 'But what if it's true?' Cornellia whispered. 'Then that's why you have to see for yourself.' Liam said. So with that, we were all going to the haunted house. But little did I actually know what great danger would await us there.....
