Real Life Fantasy Feels like Hell
Chapter IX – Explanation
“Are you awake yet? How about now? Come on, I’m as bored as hell right now!” I slowly open my eyes, it was a little blurry at first, but I started seeing clearer into my surroundings in the matter of seconds. “Finely, took you long enough!” said Puppy. “shut up, give me one more hour…” I yawned, then sighed and pulled the covers over my head. “Another hour?! But it’s like 5:20 p.m.!” Puppy said in confusion.
I then threw the blankets off my face and sat straight up. “5:24?” I said in confusion as I stare at the clock. Puppy then looked at me suspiciously. “There’s not really anything you could do at night, what were you doing awake? Oh? And what’s that on your cheek??” He laid his hand on my left cheek, I flinched then blushed.
I then remembered getting that scar last night. “I have pretty good memory; I don’t remember that being there before you went to your room.” Puppy said. “Um… I tripped” I replied to him. He then looked at me annoyed “I’m not stupid either; yea you must’ve tripped twice to get a perfect X on your cheek.”
“Let’s go with that.” I said as I sat on the edge of my bed then looked up at him. Puppy then sighed and said “I know something hurt you. You weren’t here last night were you?” I then looked down then said you have sensed that?” “Not while I’m in my dreamland” He replied with a frown. “Tell me everything” He then said.
“Fine, well… I went out for a walk in the forest and was trying to enjoy the sounds of nature, but then I saw a group of shadows…” “Shadows?” Puppy interrupted. “Yes, and I hid near a waterfall to spy on them. All of them were black with red eyes, but there was one different one. He was violet and had blue eyes.” “Violet with blue eyes…” Puppy was whispering to himself. “They knew I was the angel of death, but they said I was missing my soul, so they wanted to kill me.”
“You’re missing your soul?!” Puppy then said freaking out. I was a little confused but then said “Yea, look.” I went through my drawer, and then took out the document. I handed it to him, and then he took it and started reading it to himself. “So you cheated death in exchange for your soul?”
“I guessed I needed to live a little longer.” I said. “You sure do” Puppy then replied. “Well anyways.” I continued. “The shadows tried to kill me, but I was able to use… let’s say magic, to kill them. But the violet one wasn’t fighting me, by the time I killed the shadows he was gone.” “So you’ve awakened the miner amount of your power so far… We need to go to the shadow World and find the one that stole your soul.”
“Shadow world? How do we get there, and why is my soul so important?” I asked in confusion. “First off, if that thing has your soul you’re going straight to hell when you die. Second, you can’t fully awaken your powers without it. To answer you other question, in order to get to the shadow world, we must switch worlds with out own shadows. I myself don’t know how to do that, but I may know a guy.” “Who’s the guy? And how dangerous is the shadow world?” I then asked. “It’s a vampire I know.” “Vampires are real too? So much for these things being in the fiction category. I thought vampires and werewolf’s hated each other.”
“Not exactly” Puppy said “Vampires can hate a werewolf, as a werewolf can hate a vampire. But it’s like a human disliking another human for what they are.” “Oh, I think I get it.” I said. Puppy then said “We have school tomorrow though, it’s a Monday. It’s best we train for the weekend, and visit the shadow world on Friday.” “Aww, that’s not fun at all, can’t we skip school?” I said. “No” Puppy said plainly.
I then mumble “You sound like my dad” “Glad to be his replacement” Puppy replied/ “I’m going hunting, then well eat and go to sleep, sounds ok?” “I guess so” I replied. So Puppy went running down the stairs and flew out the back door.
I just stayed laying down thinking about yesterday and school. How’s training going to be like, and what the hell is in the shadow world? I could lay there and ask myself a million more questions, but Puppy was already back with our meal. He called me downstairs, and we ate some deer. It was ok, nothing new.
It was around 9 p.m. already, and Puppy said that he was going to bed and that I shouldn’t stay up long. I went to my room and laid down on my bed. I decided to listen to my IPod and get my mind off things, because it was only leading to stress. I closed my eyes and dosed off to sleep listening to my music.
