• When school was over, I rushed to my locker, wanting to avoid all contact with Shade. I didn't know why I avoided him, I just wanted to. I still felt every pair of eyes from girls glaring at me. I sighed as I entered my locker combination and grabbed by backpack and books. "Ugh." I said to myself, tired out from the long day. When I stood up after gathering my books from the bottom of locker and shoving them into my backpack. I nearly dropped my bag as Shade appeared.

    Shade chuckled and smiled as he slung his bag over one shoulder. "Sorry to startle you."

    "Where did you come from?!" I asked, finally getting over the shock.

    "Everywhere and yet, nowhere." He said with a huge grin on his face.

    I glared at him and picked up my bag from the ground. "Oh ha ha." I slung by bag over my shoulders and began heading toward the entrance as my bus was called. He followed me. I turned around to face and asked, "Why are you following me?"

    He merely smiled and said, "Your cute."

    I raised a eyebrow and crossed my arms as I looked at him with a doubtful look.

    He chuckled and said, "My bus is your bus. And plus, you really are cute."

    I sighed and started again toward my bus, avoiding his eyes.

    On the bus, I sat in an empty seat while I watched the other girls scoot away from the edge as he passed. I sighed and stared out the window, eventually feeling the seat beside me sink. I regretted looking over the moment I felt the seat dip. Shade had sat himself next to me and began leaning in toward me when I looked over. Our faces became rather close and I panicked, pushing him away when he got to close.

    He smirked and said, "Arn't we shy."

    I turned away when I felt my face heating up, refusing to let him see me.

    I heard him let out a small, "hmph," and watched as he laid back. "These girls are annoying," he whispered just loud anough for me to hear him. The next part of his whispering I wasn't able to make out, so I just went back to staring out of the window as the outside world speed by.
