- I leant over and held my hand out at the young elven girl, "Are you alright?" She looked at me, confused, as if wondering why I would want to help her up. She did not open her mouth and kept looking at my face and then back down at my hand. "Ah, I'm not a weirdo or anything." She obviously did not trust me because a worrisome look was on her face. "I was walking by when I saw you fall over, can't you get back up?" I paused for a moment, "I work for the U.U.A. and I can get you medical help if you've hurt your legs." A sad look appeared on her face as her lips tilted downwards and she started to cry. A couple of tears ran down her cheek as she lifted her head towards me and opened her mouth. I waited for her reply but nothing came out as I noticed, "Are you a mute?" Her eyes widened just before bringing her hands up to wipe them dry. She smiled at me with a relieved face. "It's okay, come with me and I can get you medical assistance." She tilted her head sideways as if to let me know she did not think it possible. "Oh, I nearly forgot. You are living on an un-developed planet. The United Universial Alliance can help return your voice with quick surgery, we have the technology. I promise you can trust me." I moved my hand closer to hers and with her now casual confused face, she lifted her hand and placed it on mine. I pulled her up to her feet just as she lost her balance and toppled towards me, grabbing my arms and me grabbing hers. I chuckled, "Alright, I've got you." The elf smiled once more, opened her mouth and mimed two words at me, "Thank you."
- Title: Good Deeds
- Artist: aclara
- Description: Another of the short stories I am writing which all inter-connect. They are all based in the future; many new planets, species, and alien life has been discovered by this time. Many information is missing in this story, it is on purpose.
