• Summer's Love:

He promised her eternity. "We will always be together...forever." Every day was just the same as the last, yet every moment felt like it was their first. The long walks on the beach hand-in-hand. Countless nights looking at the stars wrapped in one blanket together, sipping hot tea straight from an open bonfire. Every moment she stared into his eyes only made it feel like he's going to disappear, "Please let this last." She whispered to him. He lifts her chin for their gaze to meet. He separates his lips and says, "I promise. We belong to each other now."
In the middle of August, they decide to spend one whole day away from each other to test their hearts. Can they go one day without one another? The answer was quite clear when Summer wound up in the hospital suffering from a severe, deadly allergy attack. Carson found out and misunderstood as her father's cell phone cut out the important details. The message was too choppy to make-out every word clearly, "Summer is...hospital...dead..." Believing his other half was dead, he never returned to the beach. The very next week after an intense recovery, she went to meet Carson at the beach as they usually did. All day and all night she sat waiting for him. He never showed. For a mysterious reason, she feels he has given up on her. Although the separation will slowly kill her within, she feels it may also be the best, it will give her time to get over him.
On the last day of summer vacation, Summer and her family spent the whole day at the beach. The sun begins to fall below the horizon. Carson found her at the ocean's shore watching the water roll in and wash over her bare feet. A slight ocean breeze stirs her white summer dress, flowing majestically behind her; the sun's last wave of warm orange and pink beating against her skin, he takes her hand from behind and twirls her into his arms. His arm hung over her far shoulder, and with only three fingers he gently pressed them to her cheek, bringing her closer. Tears spring to her eyes at the sight of gazing into his once again . "I think the answer is clear." She says breaking a smile. He smiled back, "And this is me keeping my promise." This was the final kiss of the summer that they shared.
