ignis, this is the story.

The night was cold, the air was frigid as we made our way through the park to the meeting place. The air was stale with the taste and smell of smoke and vodka. “tonight’s the night the dead will rise, the souls of the damned will seek their revenge upon the living.” Those cold words were the last I ever
heard. As we neared the grave yard at the end of the park a cold chill
slammed my spine like a thousand tons of steel, then the thought came
rushing in, ‘if no one is here who is talking’. “Hey bobby you hear that”
I asked to bobby who was trailing close behind me. “Yeah, but why’d you
say it” he asked me getting closer “ no way it wasn’t me” I said
beginning to panic as the voice came again. “Stay away from the resting
dead, they need their sleep to rise again.” The voice cried at us as we
stepped into the graveyard. That’s when it got me.
The cold clammy hands wrapped themselves around my throat, “hey
buddy didn’t think you’d show to be honest”. I turned to face my
“attacker” “Ted you a*****e” I shouted smashing my fist into the
side of his head. “Lighten up Bobby boy, We’re going to raise the dead”
he said pulling his bag in front of us and yanking a knife and another
object out. “The heart of the beast” he told us as we made our way
through the twisting maze of graves and bones. “Well bobby here we are”
he said suddenly stopped at a grave headed by a shattered angle. AS we
approached the crypt at the center of the graves the wind gave way to an
eerie calling coming from deep within. The cries drowned out the sound
of the howling wind that collapsed in the presence of the newly arriving
storm. “Are you sure this is such a good idea Ted, I mean come on this
can’t be a good idea think about it, what if we’re caught?” “Listen to
me you fat tub of lard” Ted growled eyes glowing red “we’re doing this
and that’s that”. And with that he grabbed our collars and dragged us
down into the darkness. Less than twenty feet down the cries returned louder than before, now beginning to sound human “stay away, beware the dark, for
soon you shall dance with the devil in the pale moon light”. The voice
faded as the cold night penetrated the tomb, “did any one else hear that”
I asked getting worried. “stop trying to wimp out were almost there so
shut it and watch your steps” Ted answered getting annoyed. There was
little choice and no light so I continued going down in to the darkness
until it ended abruptly. A large room, we stopped at the bottom of the
stairs looking into a pitch-black room with a massive hole in the roof
letting in the only light. And there in that light stood a figure of
pure beauty and of pure disgust. The figure stood dancing, dancing in
the pale moonlight. “I warned you, I said go away, but now here in my den, forever you’ll stay” the figure called out in rhyme. Edging my way around the
creature, watching as it swirled in circles, dancing the waltz to its
own tune. “What are you” I managed to get out in a croaking voice, he
replied “ I am the one not to be named, and you’re the one who’ll play
my game. I make you this deal and you alone, we’ll play this game a deal
for your souls” with that the walls near the door way closed in locking
us into the room with the beast, the devil in the moonlight. “ok I’ll
play your game. “a little game, a simple game is the one I want to play,
a game of luck a game of chance, a game of heads or tales.” The thing
pulled a coin from is pocket and flipped it. “Heads you stay tales go
away”. Our bodies were never found for fifty years, until a grave
digging accident. The moral of the story don’t trust the devil with his
two headed coin.
