• Jason, the werewolf, was getting more pissed by the hour. He kept glaring at James and staring softly at me, it's kinda freaky. Then came the unfortunate day, today. Me and James were taking a romantic nighttime stroll through the park when Jason, the werewolf, came out from behind some of the bushes. "Sora, get away from him, he's not what you think he is!" he told me. James looked like he was trying not to smile "She knows I'm a vampire, Jason" Jason looked surprised and embarrassed at the same time. "Does she know about you being a prince and about the werewolves and about your mission to get us away from your kingdom and this town?" James sighed " Yes, yes, and yes" Jason looked at me "Why, Sora? Why did you choose him, I deserve you more than he does! I've loved you longer, I've known you longer! Why did you choose a blood- sucking demon instead?" I looked at him, him soft brown eyes and hair, his tan skin seeming so dark in the night. He looked so angry and hurt, I knew exactly what to say to him " Because I love him. He's my soulmate. It has always been him, even before I met him. I'm sorry, Jason." Jason let out a roar that hurt my ears and seemed to blast all of the air out of me. James used his body to cover me. When I looked back at Jason, I saw a huge wolf stood on it's hind legs. It's teeth were sharp and white, and it's hair was soft and brown. It leaped at me, but James got in Jason's way. Jason bit down on James's shoulder, blood was spilling fast. James punched Jason square in the jaw, and Jason went flying. He banged in to a tree and blood spilled from his mouth. He got up and ran toward James at a speed I couldn't even see. Jason pounced onto James, trying to snap his neck. James kicked Jason off, and bit him in the neck. I heard a crack! and Jason's body lay still. James looked at me, blood spilling from his mouth. I ran to him and hugged him, I realized I was crying and I tried to stop, but the hot tears kept coming. James hugged me, held me, and I realized he was crying too. "I'm sorry you had to see that" he told me. I shook my head " I thought.....I thought.....I thought you were going to die!" James squeezed me close. " I will never leave you" he whispered into my ear. Jason's body stirred. "It's so hard to kill werewolves these days,"he said trying to make me laugh. "We better go" I said. James nodded and picked me up in his arms, like a knight would pick up his princess, and that's what James was. My knight of the night. He took off and felt the wind pass by me almost like a whip, but I was warm in James's arms. He dropped me off on my balcony. He kissed tenderly. " You be careful. I worry about you ya know." he told me. Something nagged me in the back of my mind when I finally allowed myself to see it, a sick feeling grew in my stomach. " James, how will we be together if I'm not a vampire?" James's smile faded. " You wouldn't last very long in my world" he said. I grew angry " Yes, I could. If I was a vampire I could. What will happen in 30 years from now? I will be an old women and you will remain a teenager. How can we truly be together if I'm not a vampire?" He looked me "You don't know what your agreeing to!" I felt the tears threatening to come out " I don't care! All I know is, all I know is that I need you! I want to be with you, for eternity" I could see a few tears come down his face " I want that too, but I don't want you to get hurt. and what about your friends your whole life?" I looked at him " I would leave all of it to be with you." I felt so determined and so sure that I was telling the truth. " Your not going to let this go, are you?" he asked. I shook my head. He sighed. "When you finish high school. Tell people your moving somewhere, then we'll do it. I will make you a vampire." I grinned " I love you, for eternity" I said. He smiled " For eternity" He kissed me and was long and sweet.
