Over the next few days, the five spent most of their time shopping for presents. Clarence was chosen to get the gifts for the children such as toys and games. Edie bought the items for the women. JDB and Eddie both bought the men clothing and such, and the two individually helped Edie and Clarence; JDB helps Clarence with stuff like video games and electronics, and Eddie helps Edie with the (lets say) less classy clothing. They each go out a few at a time, ie JDB and Eddie on one day, Edie and Clarence on another, Eddie and Edie another, etc, having the other three watch the house. Once all that stuff has been bought, Pecky was assigned to buy the gift wrapping supplies. While they shop, Eddie visits the mechanic once a day to check on the repairs.
Many days have past but its finally the week of Xmas. The airship finished with the repairs and all the gifts bought. The next 2-3 days was spent by taking the airship towards a hidden spot on the town's beach and painting it in Xmas colors and decorated, loading the presents into the ship's cargo hold and gift wrapping them. The five also have stored other stuff like chairs/sofa, food, and entertainment (small TV, music, books, and games) on the ship since they decided to live in the ship until their duty was over. They take the last 1-2 days before Christmas to rest and to be prepared.
Finally, the big night of December 24th. JDB equips his outfit on as the sun sets. They all stand on the deck, watching the sun set beautifully along the sea. JDB sighs and says, "Are you all ready? We have a long night ahead of us." The four rubber ducks nod, each saying that their ready, Pecky adding "lets light this candle." Clarence grabs the chest and takes the pod out. The pod lights up brightly and the airship starts to levitate, the pod disappearing into the ship as energy. They cheer as the ship starts to fly, then astounded at the sight of the many towns and forests under the stars, while snow begins to fall. Eddie steers the ship as they travel, JDB delivers the presents as Edie, Clarence, and Pecky takes presents out of the cargo a few at a time. JDB bringing the cookies, that have been left out for Santa by a few people in case he visited, back to the ship. The five take short "cookies and milk" breaks each time they head to another town, some classic Xmas music playing as they eat. While they're on their run, Clarence spots the thief from days ago. "Hm... I knew that we'd find him," Eddie says. "So Pecky and I got him a special present." He and Pecky chuckle while they and the others watch the thief getting his present: a Jack-In-The-Box. With a confused look on his face, he curiously winds it up. Suddenly a spring loaded boxing glove punches him in the face, knocking him out in the snow. Pecky, Eddie and JDB laugh uncontrollably, Clarence also laughing while Edie watches in a bit of disapproval, but then softly laughs with the other four.
Hours have past, the crew getting tired as they reach the final house and deliver the last present. Once JDB returns to the ship, Eddie steers it towards their house. Edie, Pecky, and Clarence resting on a sofa, nomming on some cookies as JDB joins them, stretching and saying "That's the last one." Clarence replies with "We did it." Pecky adds, "Yeah, wow." They take a stop at the Gambino Mansion to return the chest into the ground with the little amount of gold they had left. The sun rising as they reach their house. But suddenly the ship starts to lower towards the ground. Eddie trying to steer it as the other four go up to him, asking whats wrong. Eddie replies, "I don't know. I think its running out of power." They brace for impact as they crash into a forest near the area. Luckily, no one got seriously injured, but they have a few scratches and the ship damaged. JDB, with his outfit ruined and torn from the crash, decides to use some power to cause the ship to shrink to make it seem like its a small model. Eddie, gets up and says, "Think that's the only present we're getting, huh?" JDB nods, "Yeah, you can say that." The other three join them and head out of the forest, walking in the snow. JDB, spotting that the four are shivering, takes off his cap and lets the ducks rest in it to stay warm as he walks and slightly limps towards home.
Moments later, they finally reach their house. As JDB shivers while he unlocks the door, Peck suggests "How about we take back the gold from the chest? It's not like Johnny is gonna need it." JDB replies, "No. We borrowed that gold, Pecky. We're not gonna steal it." He opens the door and the five head in, the rubber ducks moving out of his cap and rests on the sofa as JDB goes into his room to change clothing. The four nurse their scratches as Eddie turns the TV on, the news playing and the reporter saying "And in some good news, it seems that everyone got some holiday/Xmas cheer." Clarence and Edie watching with joy, Pecky and Eddie watching with interest, Eddie calling out for JDB as he walks out with some clean clothes on, carrying some hot cocoa and offering them to the ducks. They grab each mug and sips out of them as JDB stands behind the sofa, watching the news with them. Then news shows images and clips of people and families with their presents, either holding them and posing or opening them with joy while the reporter says, "Mysteriously everyone got presents last night. We suspected that it was Santa, but every present says its from an unknown source named, "J and the Ds." Some sources reporting that they saw an airship flying through the towns at night. Well, whoever they are, we'd like to say, 'Thank you. We are all grateful,' " and then it shows a couple of kids, parents, and other adults saying "Thank you." The five smile, glad to know it was a success. JDB stating, "Well, that's better than any present." Edie and Clarence nod in agreement, Eddie says "Yeah," and Pecky says, "I guess."
JDB turns to get a refill of hot cocoa, but spots the tree and says, "Hm... Looks like we had some extra gifts that we didn't loaded into the ship." The four ducks get up from the sofa, Eddie claiming that there wasn't any extras. The five head to their tree, which has a few presents laying underneath, with a letter hanging from the tree. JDB opens the letter and reads it out loud, "Dear JDB, Clarence, Edie, Pecky, and Eddie. Thanks for all you've done to spread the holiday cheer. I've had one of my tall elfs watch you five. You may know him as that 'thieving' figure you encountered that day and while on your run..." JDB stops for a second, softly chuckles. Clarence recalls seeing pointy ears on the figure during the fight. Eddie chuckles awkwardly and says, "Whoops. Well, he played the part convincingly." Pecky chuckles as JDB continues, "That was a way to see how determined you five were. Sorry that he fought those two ducks and took your gold. He was previously a thief and he's been working with us, and at times, his old habits have occurred. You'll see the stolen gold returned in one of the gifts. Anyway, to say thanks, I've had some of our elves get you five the presents you see before you. Wish my husband could of helped you. I'm glad to say that he's back, but he needed some rest and recover from hiding. But thanks for taking his place this year. From, Mrs. Clause." They all smile, grab their presents and start unwrapping them.
All four ducks got small jackets. Clarence got a few games, Edie received some good Classic Xmas movies, both also got some clothing. JDB got a new Santa outfit and some video games. Eddie received a small white Zoot Suit Tapa (hat; similar to JDB's SC hat) and some shades. Pecky received a recipe of Mrs. Clause's famous cookies, and another small present. He unwraps it, going "WTF?" Eddie chuckles while he puts on his hat and something falls out of it. "Must of been from that elf..." Eddie says. Pecky nods and says, "Looks like it." Edie and Clarence laugh as the demonic twin brothers hold up their lumps of coal. Pecky states, "ehh, could of been worse." JDB chuckles while noticing one last present. He pulls it out and unwraps it, revealing to be a small chest filled with Casimir tree seed pods and a note saying, "the trees have finished growing and I wanted to give you these in case you want/need to use that airship again." He takes the chest and places it on the night stand in the bedroom, then pulls out the small ship and sets it on the table in the living room. The five then sit on the sofa, popping in one of Edie's Xmas movies, sipping on their hot cocoa, relaxing after a long night and an eventful month.
