• The gate creaked as I opened it, making my eyes dart wilder across the field. I sucked in my breath, as if I was afraid that he'd hear my breathing. As I bent my knees to hide, I heard something! My eyes focused on one lurking shadow dancing across the trees. I got up timidly, starting to make my way forward to the shadow. I sucked in my breath, clenched my fists, ready for a battle. Then I saw him! He stepped out of the shadows. His black coat danced wildly in the wind. I stared in to his black, soulless eyes. It looked like a black hole ready to suck me in if I got closer. Suddenly, a sly smile fell upon his face, uncovering a devils smile. He stepped away from the trees and towards me, causing me to back up and fall on the grass. I sat there letting the grasses dew to soak up in to my jeans. Seeing my panic he said, "Hi, Holly," he boomed with his raspy voice," I see you've grown the last time I saw you," he lifted a brow ready for my response. I opened my mouth to speak, but no sound came out....only a blood-curling scream.

"Holly, Holly!" someone was shaking my shoulder rapidly. My eyes fluttered open revealing only blurriness. Blinking my eyes rapidly, I saw my best fried Bethany Baker standing besides me with a bothered expression. "What? What?" I sighed heavily, as it was a strain to speak. "What?" Beth said and tilted her head, with an annoyed expression. " I just heard my friend let out a wild scream. What was it that you were doing to make you so upset?" she sat down slowly on my bed and leaned backwards, causing her blond hair to stream down her back. I sucked in my breath and responded with, " I'm- I-well, I forgot?" I exhaled, "Well, I do remember some parts! But...there just blurry memories now," I was telling the truth. Beth's eyes closed in to slits, clearly not believing me. "Liar," she rolled her green eyes and fingered her Nicolas. "I am not!" I insisted and slapping her shoulder playfully. Beth rubbed her shoulder as if it hurt, with amused eyes. I said with new found joy, "are we still on for the mall today?" Beth sat up straight and looked at me, "well, ya! But-but, only if you fix your bed head," she dragged out the last word. "wait. wha-?" I felt my hair and stormed to the mirror for proof. Sure enough, it was true! I chuckled and started to pull on the brown hair- well, used to my hair. Beth got up with a full-body stretch and made her way over to me. I turned with a quizzical look, " what are you doing?" she paused and kept going, "I'm going to be fixin' your hair," Beth grabbed hungrily at my hair with the brush. ~writer~ I'll be starting this story again tomorrow? Anyways, tell me what you think in the mean while.....!
