((Patient seemed to grin again. Once again I felt my soul grow cold.))
“I see. Do go on”
“I got outside the prison. Everyone of those guards, I took them out. They never heard me coming. Each and everyone. I got them all…I had no regrets about it either. I heard something coming from the darkness that lead up to the prison gates. I lunged at them. I was so scared…I was grabbed by the neck and lifted into the air when I saw him.”
“Saw who?”
“The King, he grabbed me by the throat. He said to me.”
You are the one causing this trouble…this havoc…you had the mind to kill them all didn’t you…
I felt his grip tighten on my neck…that’s when I heard her. Nina. She yelled out to her father.
Don’t!! Look at him! He is scared to death! I read the profile on this city, these are brutal people. He only fought to save himself. Please!!! Don’t hurt him!!”
“What happened next?”
“The king placed me on the ground. Nina ran to my side…she didn’t fear me. She placed a blanket around my shoulders. She said she was sorry…like she felt my pain. Like she knew what happened. I broke down on the spot and began to cry…after wandering for so long. Looking for someone to talk to…I had a new home.”
“She really cared.”
“A few years ago, on a previous mission. I was appointed to escort a diplomat to safety and he was ambushed. I had permission to release one seal to see to the diplomat’s safety right…so I did. I slaughtered them all. I turned around to see if the diplomat was alright, mind you he was. He only said three words. You’re a monster.”
“That’s kind of harsh. How did you take it?”
“Nina said to me over the radio instantly….You’re my monster.”
“That’s actually a touching story”
“Yeah…in a weird way right?”
((To my surprise, the patient agreed with me. He was not defensive about it at all as I had thought he would be))
“Yeah…it is. The King ordered his men to go into the facility and locate the security tapes and wipe the guards memories and to tend to those that I injured. We have those tapes on file. I am sure you seen them by now.”
“I have. I am impressed too…your first attack was sloppy, when he grazed you with the bullet. But it seems that every attack afterwards, your strikes were precise and very accurate.”
“Yeah. I learned quick….I didn’t want to end up back in that place. All of that was derived from fear to be honest…anyway. That’s how he found me and when we got back to the palace. It was under Rose’s recommendation that I be trained as a Royal. A Royal of Fire. The King agreed whole heartedly and personally over seen my training for those many years until I officially became a Royal. And that’s my story to this point.”
“Please don’t go yet. We still have to discuss your last mission.”
“I know Doc. But if it’s all the same to you. I would rather not. At least not now. Next week perhaps?”
“Very well. I will see you next week Granz. Take it easy until then yes?”
“Righto, later Doc.”
Evaluation Status: After interviewing the patient. It is my personal opinion that “Granz” is deemed fit to continue serving his majesty without any fear of relapsing. It seems that his behavior *when found* was derived from fear. This is common. My verdict for the patient is : PASS.
However the previous mission status will be reviewed next week. Current information suggests that deadly force was used. It is too soon to be definitive.
