Ereyr knocked another picture off the wall, as he shoved Jake against it. Jake was only seven years old, and his father was in a fit of rage to the point of taking it out of his son; Anaesra chased after her husband shouting at him to stop it.
"This is his entire fault, he caused my reputation to fall downward, and this disgusting monster is the blame for our recent hardship!" Ereyr shouted at Anaesra and he struck Jake once more.
Ereyr and Anaesra were too busy yelling at each other to notice the knock at the door, Serenity, Jake's older sister ran to the door to let whoever it was inside. Ereyr struck his son again for the second time, Jake was now bleeding from the nose and his mouth was swollen.
"Stop it!" Anaesra cried once more.
Ereyr readied himself to strike the boy once more, but was interrupted by someone's hands wrapping themselves around his neck. Anaesra gasped when she saw her older brother choking her husband, Jay was growling as he forced Ereyr to release Jake. The moment Jake was free he stumbled over to his mother who held him in her arms protectively and moved to the other room.
"You have no business here Jay!" Ereyr exclaimed struggling to breath.
"You have no business abusing your own son! I swore if you hurt that boy, I would tear you apart, and I've caught you in the act, b***h you better hope Shyotia loves your a**, because I'm sending you to her in multiple pieces!" Jay roared as he sliced Ereyr's neck open and threw him to the floor.
The Siderancian gagged as blood oozed from his neck at an alarming rate, he was on his knees trying to get away from Jay. But the other Siderancian wouldn't let him escape; he walked over to Ereyr and stomped down on his body, his fourth claw stabbing itself in to Ereyr's side. Jay backed off as he watched with morbid satisfaction; Ereyr struggled to get to his feet as he lost blood with every move of his body.
"You could have loved that boy, you could've been the best damn father, be his role model. Be there when he needed you. Ereyr many have told you that your reputation would be your down fall… And they were all right," Jay spoke calmly.
"That boy… isn't my son. He… is a monster….who will destroy us all," Ereyr managed words even as he coughed for air.
"You are nothing but a monster…" Jay said in a dark tone as he pinned Ereyr to the floor. Grasping his head in his hands, Jay jerked his wrists and simply snapped Ereyr's neck.
The body went limp and laid there as Jay stood up, his hands, feet, and cloths stained with blood. Anaesra came out of hiding with her children. She hugged her brother tightly sobbing clutching his clothing, she been wanting to do that for so long, but never had the strength to overpower her husband.
"Are you okay!?" Anaesra cried in to his shirt.
Jay petted her back to calm her down, "yeah I'm fine, I was just coming over to give Jake something, I'm sorry it had to end like this," Jay answered still trying to calm her down.
Anaesra let him go and looked over at Jake; he was still dizzy from being thrown in to a wall. Jay followed his sister's gaze and smiled; he walked over to Jake and kneeled down. His hand was tender as he wiped the blood from the young boy's nose.
"You'll be safe now, no one will hurt you now," Jay said softly as he held Jake in his arms.
Anaesra couldn't believe how natural it looked, her brother was a good father and it took her till now to see this. Serenity ran over to her uncle and hugged him as well, Jay patted her head then reached in his pocket for a paint brush, and he offered it to Jake.
"This is for me? But it looks like one of your brushes uncle Jay," Jake said blinking as he took it.
"It is one of mine, but Jake I want you to have it, never let others bring you down, you are a precious treasure in this world," Jay said kissing Jake's forehead.
"Jay…" Anaesra said softly.
"Ana, you honestly think I'll get away with murder?" Jay asked, as if on cue, police stormed the house.
Jay raised his arms to show he was surrendering; they grabbed his arms and handcuffed Jay quickly, and placed a muzzle over his mouth so he couldn't bite. Anaesra just stood there as they took Jay away; he looked back and smiled as he walked from the house, as he walked all he could do was smirk. Not really caring about being arrested he just saved his baby sister and her children, what more could he ask for.
