• There is this creepy empty warehouse near my house, I think it used to be a grain storage house or something (I live in Australia). Anyway when I transferred to this town from another area, I was warned by all the adults to stay away from the warehouse as it was 'dangerous'. When I asked areound about it online I found out that two little girls were found dead inside there, strangled with skipping ropes. Because the warehouse was empty, their bodies were decomposing by the time they found them. They still hadn't found the culprit. At the time I didn't really think about it until I was dared by some of my new friends to go in there. I told my parents that I was going my friend's house for a sleep over and they called his parents and everything (I was 14), but his parents were divorced and he lived with his dad who worked a night shift until about 11. So i met up with my friend and played video games at his house until it was dark then we met up with the other kids who agreed to come on the dare. Since I was a transfer student, I didn't know everybody very well so I hung around the edge of the group which had about 4 boys and 3 girls, including myself. So we met up and made our way to the warehouse at about 6, since it was winter it got dark a lot earlier and it was really windy. We walked around to the back of the building and one of the kids climbed up and kicked in a window. He climbed down to open the door, but we weren't able to hear him after he went inside. We waited for a minute or so, nervously until the door clicked and creaked open. It was on of those large gate doors so when it swung open it we had to move to avoid being hit by it. Inside, it was really dark and we couldn't see the kid that went inside. By now we were all really scared and a boy and a girl made excuses to leave. Not wanting to seem like a coward to my newfound friends I managed to stay calm. One of the boys took the lead and walked into the building, carrying a large flashlight he had brought while the rest of us tenatively followed, one of the girls clinging to her boyfriend. Suddenly the wind blew the door shut behind us and locked despite the brick we had put in place to hold it. The girls screamed as we were plunged into darkness and I quickly pulled out the small LED flashlight I had brought. The boy with the large flashlight had dropped it on the floor, shining on a set of chains that may have been for the machinery. I couldn't see anyone else and the girls were silent. I looked frantically for anybody else but there was nobody there so I panicked and started running desparatly, hardly looking where I was going. The next thing I remember was running into something or at least being hit it the face by something. I was knocked to the floor and started to black out. I remember a white light shining in the distance, but it didn't move. The last thing I heard was heavy breathing. I woke up beside the train tracks the next morning at about 4 am. It was still very dark and I had no idea where I was or what had happened. I managed to stumble into the station and then I blacked out again. I woke up at home later that day - my parents thought I had been taking drugs or something and I wasn't sure what had happened myself. All of the kids had woken up in different places across the town. I remember getting out of bed later that night, at midnight and felt strangely compelled to look out the window. Outside, I saw the white light I had seen the previous night. I reached into my pocket and found in it a scrap of paper. "Remember" It read. The next morning I woke up in a cold sweat and frantically looked in my pocket, only to find it empty. New, whenever I see a light in the darkness I can't help but remember that night. I can never forget. Never.
