Every day, serveral kids commet suicide due to bullying. The teachers tell us kids to report this bullying to an adult. Well i have one queston. What are kids truely learning from this? What good does reporting do in the end? What does it teach us kids to do later in life?
I have heard people say that verbal bullying is worse than physical bullying. Well then tell me, which is harder to ignore, a punch to the face, or some one mocking you? The adults are telling kids to not fight back when we are being physicaly bullied as well. Then what on earth, are we, the kids, supposed to do, when that happens? Just let them beat us up? What's that gonna do for the kid who was beating the other kid up? It's most likely gonna encourage him to fight some one else, because now he thinks he's stronger than the kid he just beat up.
Schools cannot deny that they've had a bullying issue at any time of there past. But yet another queston remains, what are schools doing to prevent bullying. What are schools when bullying happens? For a student to feel safe at school, there shouldn't be an extra price to pay. It's time for teachers and students to realize that bullying is not just a kid being mean. It's time for teachers to realize that bullying is not a childish thing. It's time for the students to realize that bullying continues outside of schools.
Teachers, I ask this of you, do you truely believe that every bully acts the same way?
Is there any teacher that truely knows why a kid acts the way they do? And is there any teacher who has actualy reasonably punished a kid for bullying? Teachers, you are teaching kids that they will not be punished for there actions, so the bullying will escalate. I am not speaking from the view point of a ordinary kid. I am speaking as a victim to bullying, And i strongly believe that the starting point of bullying is not just from the kids, nor there homes, but from the teachers. "There are no such things as bad students, only bad teachers." should be a quote to consider teachers. You are the authority of the school. The kids can change themselves, yes. But the teachers can help to change bullying in our schools.
One person alone cannot change an entire way of people. We must all realize what we are doing wrong that's affecting everyone around us. We must all embrace change in our ways of school life to make sure that every student has there personal rights secured. Bullies will take away these personal rights from a student: Right to feel safe. Right to a proper education. freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and much more.
If you have been reported as a bully, I personaly want you to think about this for a momet.
