    Hiding here behind this mask
    I do not know how long I’ll last
    Always showing something new
    From day to day in every way
    I show you only what you want to see
    Then I’ll turn a new
    I’ll show them something different
    Different from what I show you
    I’ll show my parents an A+ student
    Because that is all they care to see
    To my coach an all star athlete
    Because that is all he thinks of me
    The only thing you’ll ever see is what I want to be
    You’ll never know which face I truly am
    I will be every one in this history
    Every one but me.

    Even if I try escape
    It’s to hard to contend
    I just then turn back
    Back to the life I knew
    Where I hide behind a mask
    I know that surly soon
    I will snap beneath all this pressure
    I’ll remove my mask for all to see
    No more A+ student for my parents can see
    No more star athlete for my coach to use
    The only one I want to be is me
    And yet I know it’s true
    I may say these things in my head
    But I know I will continue on
    As every one that you see
    The student the athlete and a friend to you
    I will still always be every one in history
    Every one but me.
