As I’m waiting to kill time,
Time is actually killing me,
It stabs, it bruises, it twists, it burns,
Time will not let me be.
I’m stuck here in between nowhere,
This time it tortures me so,
It chains, it grabs, it holds me down,
Time will not let me go.
Time is my punishment for my sins,
I feel so empty and lost,
So void, so lonely so desolate
I can be free, but at what cost?
The pendulum seems to go nowhere
It shakes me to my core
It stalls, it waits, it freezes and stops
I can’t take this anymore.
I walk and wander aimlessly,
I see something as I pass by,
It glistens, it sparkles, it shines, it glows,
It’s Hope that catches my eye.
I love my newfound treasure,
That at last is truly all mine,
It makes me smile and laugh and love
As I finally begin to kill time.
