The road not taken, unplodded and dark,
Filled with consequences, heavy and stark.
Given choices ending wrong or right
Choosing to accede or trying to fight.
This path, filled with grief because of altruistic actions,
Gnarled with despair, separated in factions
Accomplishes justice, throws away fear
Changes our view, shifts our gears.
We took this path, with temerity and brass,
To affect our future, to learn from our past.
We've reached the pinnacle, overcomed our fright,
We've walked toward the end, toward a luminous light.
Though it seems we've reached the end,
More dreams hang around the bend,
Shining as bright as the morning sun,
Another path to take after we're done.
