• Fairy tales are a lie,
    So are all those stories.
    Putting in our heads,
    That happy endings do exist.
    I'm just a kid, so what do I know?
    The grown-ups always make believe we all have happy endings,
    But when we see that happy ending is never too sure.
    I've seen the hardships we go through in life,
    Some have it harder than others.
    Hey, maybe I'm a spoiled brat,
    Not seeing the good thinggs in life.
    To search for that happy ending though,
    It won't be an easy trip.
    We don't have fairy godmothers,
    Or a genie in a lamp.
    Maybe a curse or two to break,
    But not by true love's first kiss.
    Wish life was a breeze,
    Though where's the fun in that?
    It would be nice however,
    To have that happy ending.
