Leave me to myself.
I’m meant to be alone.
This world has cursed me of unhappiness.
I fell into darkness...
There is no light here.
Leave me be,
to weep these years away.
How could you want me?
I gave up so long ago.
I was not meant to love.
Please do not try to love me.
It will only bring sadness in your life.
Abandon your thoughts before its too late.
I will only drag you down,
Into my world of eternal darkness.
There is no light there,
You will not like it.
So please don’t follow me.
You will not return from this.
Leave me to myself
I’m meant to be alone.
Please don’t try to change my thoughts on this.
I’ve thought it through for many years,
and nothing has changed.
Leave me to weep these years away.
How could you want me?
I gave up so long ago.

It seems to speak of a broken, lost soul, unrelenting in its own self pity. It tells of a heart so crushed that it doesn't believe in the words of love, not willing to open up to any. Yet, still there is a tiny fragment of hope thatt remains.

while i was reading this,i felt bad for this person who felt that they don't belong...this part "Please do not try to love me" i think he does care & love that person to tell them this...the person that loves him saw something special in him(something like that)....well anyways i love it....hope u write more like this one

No mater how much we try and try. for so many its just a guys to hide that we gave up, life,love,hate we gave it all up.
but than why do we hide it? one would assume that if U give up than U dont care. so why do we try if we don't care?
sry. I think to much. I love the poem and how it shose the pain of the poet. a poets feelings are more beautifal than flame in a castle of pure ice.
