BATTERED VELVET
Diamond Dust is scattered
On my velvet sky
A window pane shattered
And they waved goodbye
The moonlight then glinted
On the broken shards of glass
Their goodbyes were tinted
Their sins you could not surpass
They got on their seaworthy vessels
Ready to fly away
And in their skin the glass nestles
I guess it leaves today
Now the velvet is slightly battered
And diamond dust is in short supply

- As I said before to you Emma, this is an amazing piece of literature. You know I'll love anything you write (and critique if necessary.. biggrin )

- This was lovely. I love your articulation. I'm sure the story's nice, but like you said, words would disgrace it. If you talk about something enough, it loses its majesty. 9/10
