I stand alone marked by a mask as people wear their own faces.
I am grey in a world of color and of many people of different races.
I am walking in my own world as others visit a multitude of places.
My life is shattered into fragments so small of the original there are no traces.
Flashbacks haunt my mind as I am reminded of what lead to my creation.
You can see the chair and the broken glass from the window, evidence of frustation.
I'm a coward who thought I could put on a brave smile and forget all that I can.
I flinch at every memory that reveals to me the definition of who I am.
I hate the person who I used to be, an ignorant monster who had no friends.
But that's why I am the person that I am now, even to the most thin of all ends.
He's transformed into a new being, within the in-crowds he all so perfectly blends.
A flawless chameleon, an invisible demon, matching any of the new trends.
I shudder to think of the person I used to be, to turn back I possibly can
Because that person is indeed an essential part of me, the definition of who I am.

- Title: Definition of Who I Am
- Artist: Poetic Progression
- Description: When I was younger, I was...best way to put, a monster. Everyone hated me, I've been a complete a*****e, and nowadays it pains my heart everytime I am reminded of it. I changed, but that person is still there, maybe waiting to resurface. Now I'm in the best of social circles, but that doesn't change the reason why I changed in the first place. The definition of who I am. (I know it's not nearly as long as my other poems. I pretty much summed it all up faster than I thought I would.)
