A dark alley,
A stream of blood,
I was in the rally,
Hatred's Flood.
It poured through the street,
Through fists and screams,
I could only try to creep,
To, seep through the seems.
But the faces I'd see,
My heart was racing...
I hated them all, and they hated me.
Even my friends, my friends we're facing.
It lasted so long,
The moon gripped the sun,
Hatred's song,
But the winner - the one with the gun.
But who was it, that ceased the mayhem?
Who caused the bloodshed to pause?
I didn't know, for I fled from them...
I wasn't for any cause.
My panting breath, intrigued by a door.
My hand pressed on it, and dropped to the floor.
In relief, anger, and sorrow.
For I knew,
This would resume tomorrow.
