So I sleep now,
where once there were dreams of you
There is nothing.
Just black holes where your heart should have been.
Wrap your dead arms around me again.
The love of this corpse girl refunded by anguish.
So much grief over a simple cloud.
My eyes burned
to the point I wanted to tear them out.
Your kiss left sores upon my mind,
Tearing into its fabric and scabbing over my lunacy.
The scabs are gone,
The beast is free.
The hatred flows without tourniquet.
Can you feel it?
Seething from every pore of my body.
I've learned much now, in this field where heaven has died.
There are no angels.
Just demons waiting to claim your heart for consumption.
To leave you with nothing
to make you scream for death's sweet release.
I though of it.
Of showing angels that they can't fly...
That you can't save the damned.
Everything has changed,
I see the world through new eyes now.
Eyes I thought I had lost.
My sweet embrace of emphatic psychosis has returned to me.
A gift of pure, unbridled chaos.
Inhibited only by the few restrictions I place on it.
Welcome, freedom.
Welcome home...

- Description: So, the time for loathing has passed. This poem is about realization. Coming to terms with the fact that the one you fell in love with died the day after you fell in love with them. Otherwise, enjoy...another free verse bit.
