• Burning

    It burns between us,
    Like the flame of a candle.
    But the sorrow and the pain,
    I can no longer handle.

    It grips me and pulls me
    It eats away my soul
    The pain I have to take from you,
    The pain that makes us whole.

    The pain that’s searing,
    Always hot.
    But the love that burns,
    Is never not.

    It shreds me and rips me,
    Leaving me in two.
    I now am undecided,
    I don’t know what to do.

    It tears my heart to pieces,
    It takes away my life.
    While that pain from burning fire,

    I start to lose myself,
