Word of god weighs heavy in my open palm
How much longer will I be able to hold it up?
Versing myself on the proverbs and psalms
How could we ever hope to be good enough?
Feel the fury and be smited, ye who disagree
What if I can't follow the path and stay in mould?
For this shortcoming will I be doomed to misery?
My crownless head can't blindly believe all its told.
Mayhaps your godhead isn't so powerful anymore.
Mayhaps your light has lost its luster and shine.
For these thoughts, would you be so fickle to slam the door?
or even so vengeful to cut short, my life line.
