  We've all gone through some kind of pain where we have tried to hide it and this is just one of many of those different situations in life we go through.

Feeling fake, unreal and broken
Torn, lonely and impaired
I listen to you speak words of her,
Of beauty, tenderness and loyalties
Hearing your heart being placed in her hands and not mine,
Your love being dedicated to her and not me
I put on a mask of deceit to hide what broken pieces you cannot see

How I longed to hold and love you forever
Be hand in hand walking down darkened streets
Crushed, tattered and destroyed are those thoughts,
When you spoke of your longing for her to me
Trying desperately hard now to recover from despair
I pull it together because you can’t possibly care for me now
I put on a mask of deceit to hide what broken pieces you cannot see

I lay quietly now, drowned in my thoughts
Of you and me, her and you
Reminding myself of the beautiful happiness in your smile
I slowly regret my decision to leave you to her
I know now how I must live my life to keep that smile in place
I will take it up to conceal what feelings I have left for you
