As the christening moon falls
The sand drags me down, to the end of my despair
The air is crushed from my lungs
The inescapable death which i had known was soon to come
My cage is present; more so than ever
This crushing guilt; eating me alive
The fear and rage escaping through my lips
My tear streaked screams from the hollow depths of my soul
All but darkness swallowing me whole
The rising waves that swept across the seashore had slowed and dulled
The grass no longer breathing its deep sighs
The wind could not catch a kite
And the rain would not fall
The sun could not rise to meet the morning dew…
