The Price of Perfection
I wish I was a doll
Leaned against your wall,
Because then you'd see me as perfect.
I can do nothing wrong,
Just sit here all day long,
I exist for your enjoyment.
My eyes are made of glass,
My clothes are silk and satin.
As days go by,
I never age, I never die.
And you'd love me
For I am perfect.
No blemishes, no scars, no hint of pain.
I cannot feel,
I cannot touch
But that's okay
Because you'd love me.
You'd think of me.
For that, there's not a thing I would not give
But is that any way to live?
