It's hard to move on
when your heart is in pain
when your heart is suffering or in vain
Your heart wants to linger
and stay behind
to live in the moment
stuck in time.
It's hard to move on
when nothing is right
like your best friend dying
in the middle of the night
Your heart wants to cry
or scream out in rage
for she wasn't
supposed to leave this way
