A light so gentle,
soft, and sweet.
The winter's breath
against your heat.
You've come too late,
or far too soon,
finding yourself
under snow and moon.
Take your breath of air,
retreat underground.
You're not quite ready
for the world all around.
Summer will come back for you,
so back to your mound.
Get away from all this frost
without a glimmer to be found.
Hide your flicker away for a while
waiting may cause a surprise.
Life and vitality won't last forever,
so save it for my eyes.

Description:
I saw a flicker in the dead of winter, on my frosty grass.
It was a firefly. Also caught me in a relationship crises.
This is the two ideas molded together. - Date: 08/11/2011
