Lights go out and nightmares become flesh and bone.
Quietly pacing in the darkness, waiting. Watching. Their mouth's wet in anticipation.
As they creep closer as the moon's light recedes, only fangs and eyes are shown.
Those beady eyes that show no emotion. Just the base desire for food. There is no salvation.
Tic-tok. The monster's get closer. They inch toward you.
From the closet. From the stairs. They will eat you. flesh, bones, and even hair.
Nothing left . No more light. They ready their fangs, your skin from your bones they will chew.
You beg. You cry. To spare your life, but you know your end is nigh.
The next day, nothing of you is left. Counted as a run away. Never to be heard from again.
Don't fret. You are gone but not completely forgotten.
Every blue moon when the clock strikes ten. . .
Your final scream can be heard as the moon light wanes.
