Hidden shadows
flickering lights,
Behind the pumpkin
child eyes shine bright.

Hidden motives
trick or treat,
Open the door
and we shall meet

Revealed intentions
bright eyes gleam,
Witches and ghosts,
are not what they seem.

I like how even though the poem is supposed to be sinister, it came across as fun and playful instead. Great word choice. 5/5
