I would suggest using tinypic for image hosting! I've also seen a handful of people using imagur for it. (the image would be uploaded, but it will have the little police guy sometimes)
I don't know about editing in the program, but I use ipiccy to edit photos which lets me download it and then upload it again else where.
What do you have your image display set to?
