This club is dedicated to the noble art of the theater. Members meet every Saturday in the otherwise unused classroom three doors down from the Charms room and work together to prepare and perform a stage production for the rest of the school at the end of the year. The club's focus is on all aspects of theater, from acting to costuming to lighting and everything in between. There's something for everyone, even if you're not interested in being in the spotlight. Most any skill set can be utilized, and an extra pair of hands are always welcome.
The first meeting of every school year will be dedicated to selecting a play to put on. The next meeting will be discussion and allocation of work on the sets, costuming, etc. Meeting three will be auditions. Each subsequent meeting will be focused on production of the play.

spaceKiki was pretty much equal parts excited and nervous for this whole drama club thing. On the one hand, the idea of running it was sort of terrifying, especially since she was more of a music person than a theater person. If she were more inclined to tailor this to her own skills, she'd definitely be doing a musical, if only because she was damn good at choreography. But, considering this was the club's first year, that would probably be a disaster waiting to happen. She was hoping to go for something more simple and classic. Something primary school kids could do. Not that she was comparing the club's potential members to primary-aged kids, more like she was comparing their collective experience. Then again, those plays were put on by the teachers, the kids just showed up and looked cute. So maybe she had it backwards.
spaceShe had a stack of papers out for people to fill out membership forms, and make suggestions on the play they should do. She figured she could look them all over, see if there were any that popped up more than once, and they could take a vote. It seemed like a reasonable plan, anyway. Of course, people had to show up first. She knew Rory was coming, because as much as he'd tried to pretend to hate her and this entire idea, she could tell he loved it. She'd bet he'd be all over painting the set, and probably helping with the makeup, too. Hopefully, they had enough people to do... well, everything else. That was another thing; she hoped the plays people liked had either very few characters, or could be double-cast easily. She didn't see there being many members just yet. Maybe in a few years, when she was long graduated and had nothing to do with anything.
spacePart of Rory was still considering not showing up to this thing, even as he stood outside the door. He'd spotted his cousin heading in a few minutes ago, and no one else had shown up since, which he was sure she was already getting upset about, bloody drama queen. Meanwhile, he hated how much he actually wanted to be a part of a drama club again. Not because he didn't want to want to do things, but because his cousin had started it specifically to trap him into an extracurricular, the b***h. At the very least, he wanted to be late, horrendously so, because he didn't want her to think that he was actually into this. Or that he was touched that she'd gone through all the trouble for him. Because he wasn't. Not even a little.
spaceStill, he felt weird just standing outside in the hallway, staring a hole in the door. So, with a huff, he finally pushed off the wall and walked towards the classroom, schooling his expression to look as bored and annoyed as he possibly could. Didn't need her getting any ideas about him liking her, or appreciating her, or anything stupid like that. He offered her a rather unenthusiastic wave, then slumped into a random seat, arms crossed.
spaceIt was silent for a moment, and then Kiki coughed awkwardly. "Rory, there's a form you gotta fill out," she told him, trying to use her fake-arse stern prefect voice on him.
spaceHe snorted."Lik' ye dinnae ken whit it'd say awready. Ah'ament wasting mah time filling oot some dumb form."
space"It's the rules, Rory," Kiki replied, frowning at him. "I have to have it for record-keeping." He made no move to get one, and she sighed. Grabbing a form and a pen (because hell if she was going to use quills for this), she half-slammed both onto the desk in front of him. "Fill. Out. The form."
spaceRory rolled his eyes, waiting for her to walk away. But, she didn't budge, instead she just stared him down, clearly not intending to move until she'd gotten what she wanted. With an annoyed huff, he filled it out quickly. She held out a hand to take it, but instead, he crumpled it into a ball and threw it back at the desk she'd placed the stack on.
space"Real mature, Rory."
space"Ye regretting bein' crakin' tae me yit?"She gave him an unimpressed look, then shook her head."Ah will hae tae huv a go harder, then,"he said with a snicker. She ignored it, returning to her original spot to smooth out his paperwork and make it hopefully presentable. He watched curiously; these damn Hufflepuffs didn't make a lick of sense to him, really. People weren't that selfless. They just weren't. And yet, she was doing all this, even though he knew she wasn't a theater person in the slightest. For him. He was still struggling to figure out her ulterior motive. So far, all he could come up with was hoping that giving him something to do would make him less annoying, which was a pretty dumb reason. She wasn't exactly the brightest bulb in the lamp, though, so maybe that was it after all.
Light a roman candle with me. Just a roman candle, You can wear your sandals And I'll pour you just one cup of tea. Then you can go and rest You haven't seen my best, so...

✿✫❀✮When Elvira had heard about a drama club opening she'd been rather torn about whether or not to join. Originally she had wanted to possibly join the newspaper as a writer, or at the very least a spellcheck helper and then realized that for the different plays, scripts would have to be written. And writing a script and seeing it come to life would probably be a little more thrilling. As thrilling as one could be writing something of course. She didn't know who was running the club and when she actually found the room and walked in she double didn't know who was running the club. She assumed it was the older girl whom she sort of recognized as a prefect since she was by the table where the forms were. The first year took one and filled it out, it took her a few moments to think of an appropriate play since she figured 'The Book of Mormon' was a bit too out there. Well that and it was nearly all male and she didn't really know the male situation for the club. So she just chose one that could, with fine tuning, be a mixed gender play. That and she'd have to read the book again to make sure.
Elvira Hughes - Ravenclaw Year: First Play Suggestion:Spamalot Relevant Skills: I'm alright with charms I suppose but I would really like to help with writing either the script or the playbills.

Lena was excited about the opening of a drama club. Sure, she'd likely faint if put on stage, but plays meant costumes. She hurried in, hoping to be a costume designer... or maybe some help toward it. She could even play piano for background music if needed. Hopefully they needed help with outfits, though. She could even ask her mum to send them some fabric. She grabbed one of the applications and exhaled quietly. It would be something exciting, so it had to be something she did. Digging through her bag, Lena grabbed a slightly chewed-on quill and wrote out all her information.
Helena Davisson - Ravenclaw Year: Second Play Suggestion: Something Shakespearian? Maybe Midsummer Night's Dream or Grease (not Shakespeare, but wonderful nonetheless) Relevant Skills: Good seamstress and dressmaker, good at playing both Piano and Violin.
The moment Candace heard about a drama club she was ecstatic. Though there was a bunch of stuff going on between her and the others that didn’t mean she didn’t want to join. Maybe that was something that could cheer her up. She was without her best friend but that didn’t mean that the drama club would be a terrible idea. Even if she knew that Rory would be there Candace didn’t mind.
Walking into the drama club she saw Kiki, Rory, Elvira, and Lena. “Hello everyone,” Candace greeted with a small smile. “I hope you don’t mind me joining.” She said looking to Rory. Despite not directing it at him she really hoped he didn’t mind. All her attempts to be his friend had been for Kim. What with things no going well between Kimi and her, she didn’t know if it was for nothing. Candace partly hopped that Kimberly just needed time. She was probably just in a bad mood like he had been all summer. However, her words still hurt and trying to talk to her was just to hard right now.
Grabbing a forum Candace filled it out. She took a moment to think of a play and despite drawing a blank at first, found herself with several options. Chances were none of them would actually be picked but at least they were on the list. That was the Hufflepuff’s perspective of it. Handing it to Kiki, Candace couldn't wait for the fun to begin.
Candace Mackenzie - Hufflepuff Year : Fifth Year Play Suggestion: Wicked, Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray Relevant Skills: I'm a pretty good artist, very artistic. So anything of that sort be it face paint or prop creation. I'm also pretty good with charms it's one of my best lessons. I'm also skilled in dance. Oh and singing too if that's needed.
Loyal to not only others, but also yourself. I know exactly what to do with you! Hufflepuff!

.¸¸.•´´¯`•Laili was beside herself with eagerness and excitement whens he saw the postings for a drama club. Between her godmother who was always helpful for finding a good book or play and her own dads who sometimes acted like Broadway was in their living room she was pretty sure she had the right level of dramatics for this sort of thing. Not that she'd be showing it; ever since her failed attempt at playing a horse in her primary's school's show about the Magna Carta (she'd tripped getting onto the stage then nearly pushed two people to get off of it when she realized so many people would be staring at her) she figured she would be more behind the stage. Where no one could see her. Quidditch she was well and fine with because she was always moving and doing something so really no one ever got a real good look at her. She pranced into the meeting room seeing that there was a growing amount of people there and grew excited all over again. There was really going to be a play at Hogwarts and she was going to help! Laili grabbed a form and looked it over as she was filling out and thought about what play to suggest. There were allot she'd like to help with but then, there was so much to do so they had to pick one like, now! She sighed and was slowly ruining her paper with all the scratch marks she was making on it before sticking with one play and submitting it. "Sorry if it's a little messy." the Hufflepuff apologized with a quick grin as she turned in her slip.
Laili Abrams - Hufflepuff Year: First Play Suggestion:The BirdcageLion KingTarWizard of OzA Midsummer Night's Dream Relevant Skills: I do know how to sew! I'm still learning but I can definitely help hem and repair and possibly put together simple costuming outfits. I'd also like to help with makeup if that was ok! And build sets, though I'm not so good with drawing or painting.

Where am I? Drama Club Who am I with? Kiery What am I doing? Checking out the club What am I thinking? This seems interesting... What am I wearing?First Year Uniform ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁
Sybille entered the room, her eyes already looking around as she appraised the room. It seemed interesting enough, the idea of a drama club at the school, though she hadn't heard of one at the school until now. Though, she had a feeling Cyrille would enjoy it very much. As it was, she was slightly terrified of being onstage, so she figured that she could help with the crew stuff or something. Just... Not on stage. She looked over at Kiery, who had dragged her along and gave her a faint smile, though she wondered if Arden would show up. She hadn't seen him around at all, and she vaguely wondered if he was avoiding her. "I heard they hadn't had any drama club in the school in over a century. I wonder who convinced the headmaster to allow one."
Not that Sybille minded, since it was something new, but she figured that she could always enjoy having it as a learning opportunity. She took a form and filled it out, giving the girl that looked to be in charge a polite nod before she settled back with Kiery. Hopefully the club meeting wouldn't take too long to start. She didn't want to be stuck all day here, and she didn't have a book she could read in the meantime.
Sybille LeBeau - Ravenclaw Year: First Play Suggestion: Macbeth Relevant Skills: Drawing, though can be wherever else necessary

Depuis que tu dois partir J'ai peur de mon avenir Et loin de tes bras je ne vis qu'à Travers mes souvenirs
Dris had heard about Drama club (mostly through his sister), and had decided to check it out. Apparently there were spots open for set design, makeup, and all kinds of things. He looked over at his sister, who looked super excited about the club.... but would she still be excited if he was there? Surely she would.... they didn't hate each other or anything. He sighed and grabbed an application, only to notice that it wanted play suggestions. He channeled his inner-Milo, hoping for a good idea on a play. Musicals might give him head pains, but he really liked them. One specifically came to mind, and a small smile quirked his lips.
Driskol Abrams - Ravenclaw Year: Fourth Play Suggestion: The Phantom of the Opera or Sound of Music Relevant Skills: I'm super good with painting, so I can help with the set designing. I am also decent at makeup, so I can help there too.
I've got something that I've kept inside And the blood is on the blade You're there sucking on your lollipop Like you haven't aged a day And it ain't so pretty when you're playing cute When your body's up against some fool

Alby was beyond ecstatic for a drama club happening and though he was a bit miffed it was happening during his last two years at the school, at least it was happening at all! From what they'd been told, another drama club happening in Hogwarts had been next to impossible! Like seeing Professor Hill giggle. A shudder ran down his spine at just the thought and he had to sip some of his hot cocoa to warm himself up. The very thought of that was horrifying and he was damning himself for ever thinking of it in the first place. He reached the room and saw it filling with people and grinned brightly as he took everything in. "...this is so beautiful I might almost cry." he murmured to himself. Movies and the theater had been what helped him escape the loneliness of his childhood and he'd be damned if he wasn't going to be apart of it while he was at school. He eagerly joined the fray and grabbed a form filling it out while his eyes wandered over the other suggested plays. When he saw 'Rocky Horror' it gave him an idea which he quickly wrote down with a grin. This was going to be so amazing!
Alby Callaghan - Ravenclaw Year: Sixth Play Suggestion: Repo: A Genetic Opera Relevant Skills: I can play the piano for any musical numbers we might have, I'm very comfortable around the stage and have actually acted in small parts when I was younger. I'm very good at Charms as well as special effects.
Me and you You and me Let's go back Let's go back 1983 is calling I've been on my knees and crawling
spaceKiery was thrilled that Sybille had agreed to come with her to join drama club. She hadn't been sure the other girl would agree, considering she was a little more subdued and, uh... well, sort of stuffy, if Kiery was being honest. She'd thought at first that maybe it was a wizard thing, but apparently not. There were a few older kids who had the same sort of vibe, but most of the students seemed like normal kids and teenagers. It was sort of a relief to know that her new friend was the weird one, not her, though she would never be so rude as to say it out loud. And anyway, that was part of why she'd insisted on the girl coming with her to this club! She clearly needed to branch out some, all she ever seemed to do was read and try to spy on that older Slytherin boy. Kiery didn't get the fascination, even with them supposedly being engaged, which was weird enough all by itself. What kind of parent set their kid up with someone who was practically an adult? And what kind of parent set their almost-grown son up with a kid? It made absolutely no sense.
spaceSybille's words took a moment to register, Kiery's attention split a million different ways. When she finally processed what was said, her expression grew puzzled."Maybe just no one wanted to do one before?"she asked with a shrug."And anyway, who cares? Professor Steele decided to allow it so that's all that matters, right? This is going to be so much fun!"She clapped her hands excitedly, bouncing slightly as she grabbed a form from the desk, taking a moment to wave at the older student who was apparently running the club. Glancing at the form, she squealed slightly."Ooooh! We get to make play suggestions!"Now she just had to figure out which play to suggest. Or plays? There wasn't a 'pick ONE' instruction or anything, after all.
Lucy was beyond thrilled that the Drama Club had recently opened. She loved theatre; they always saw a play at least twice a year with her family (the costumes and effects were gorgeous) and she'd played an active part in her old school's annual holiday play and they were always fun. To be honest, she missed the atmosphere and working together with people. There was nothing more satisfying than spending an entire year on a production and have it be a success, and it didn't hurt that it gave her the chance to show off her clothes making skills.
It looked like many people shared her sentiments because they room was practically bursting with people, mostly younger students, and she recognised Candace, Dris and Kiki who had the brilliant idea to start the club (Lucy could kiss her for it, but she didn't think Alec would appreciate that, she smirked internally). "Hello everyone," she called out with a bright smile, going to fill out a form. "You're a genius Kiki," she told the older girl when she handed her form back. She couldn't wait for them to start.
Lucinda Jacobs - Gryffindor Year: Fifth Play Suggestion: Electra, Tempest, or maybe Midsummer's Night's Dream. I'm not picky. Relevant Skills: I'm great at sewing and dressmaking and designing, including costumes, charms, and I'm good at drawing. Hell, I'd act too.
