Landon liked what he saw during the last class. They were a good bunch of students when it came to targeting things. However, now they'd be dealing with the snitch an evasive little ball that was down near impossible to see. Landon knew full well that catching the golden ball was a challenge and a real challenge at that. As he waited for his class to arrive he thought about the position they would be going over.
“Good morning class. Last we covered the position of Beater. Today however we will be learning the position of Seeker.” Landon told the class. “The Seeker has only one sole purpose in the game of Quidditch.” He explained. “Now can anyone tell me what that is and why it’s one of the most important jobs?” he asked the class. It was an easy question but it got them involved before working on the practical.
Rey practically skipped to the Quidditch pitch early, carrying the great broom that Vito had thoughtfully gifted her last year. She loved flying on it and tried to return the gift in kind, although she'd fallen painfully short. "Hello Professor," she greeted the teacher when she reached him and set her broom down carefully to do some stretches to try and relieve some of the soreness in her muscles. When the other students arrived, Professor Price started the class and Rey felt a little nervous; she hadn't played any position other than beater and she wondered how she'd do, but she hoped she didn't embarrass herself. When the professor asked a question, she raised her hand and confidently answered. "A seeker is the one who has to catch the golden snitch in the game, which gives their team a hundred and fifty points and ends the game."

Vito walked to the field, he smiled a bit seeing that Rey was holding the broom he got her. He was glad he was inspired to get her something like that, he knew she loved quidditch he was a bit indifferent about the sport himself but he stayed on the team since his only friend was on it. And flying is a pretty useful skill, you never know when you'll need a getaway broom and the better he could fly the better chance he could get away from anyone who'd want to chase him. He listened to the professor and Rey beat him to the punch on answering the question on his own position.

"Hello Reyna," Landon greeted her in return. Listening as Reyna raised her hand and answered his question, he smiled. "That's correct, 10 points to Slytherin." He replied brightly. "A seekers job is just that catch the golden snitch, ending the game and rewarding that team a hundred and fifty points. In most cases that can win a team the game. Though there are instances where that isn't always the case." He added.
"Now this is the golden snitch as you probably all know from playing or watching the game." he said taking out the golden ball and holding it between his fingers showing it around. "Your task as I stated before is to find and catch it. Now, I don't expect you to all be expert Seekers just do your best. So as long as you try you'll be given credit for your effort." Landon told them. "So go get on your brooms and have fun." he added as he let go of the snitch and let it fly off.

Landon walked onto the field for his third year class. He hoped the students would enjoy this year more than last. He’d be teaching them everything they would need to know to play Quidditch and for some, make them into professionals. It was a tough job but someone had to do it. Landon knew just about everything there was to know about Quidditch, so it was only fitting for him to want them to know just as much.
As the students started to come onto the field Landon smiled. "Good morning class, it's good to see you back again and I hope your first week back has been going well so far." he told them brightly. "Just a quick reminder on the rules before be get started, come to class on time and prepared to have fun and do your best. No horsing around and please leave your wands in your bags." Landon quickly skimmed over. "Now, this year we will be covering all the positions in Quidditch. For today we will be starting off with the position of Beater. So what can you guys tell me about it?" he asked curiously wondering what his class already knew.
Loyal to not only others, but also yourself. I know exactly what to do with you! Hufflepuff!

Kimberly and Candace strolled down to the field brooms in hand this year they were sure to be in the air. “Morning Professor Price.” Candace greeted her flying professor brightly. Kimberly remained silent. She was just happy it was her last class of the week. Candace on the other hand had ancient runes with Minako afterwards. After a quick reminder of the class rules which Kimberly could have done without, they got ready for the first fun thing of the year.
Learning about beater! A position Kimberly knew inside and out. Candace on the other hand did not. When asked what a beater did… the Hufflepuff pondered. “Go on Ace give it a go.” Kimberly told her with a nudge. “Um… they hit cannon balls with bats. And they hurt... a lot.” Candace tried. “Those would be bludgers and beaters hit them at opposing team players.” Kimberly elaborated on Candace's answer.
Aren't you quite outspoken? In spite of that, you are still a loyal person, One who seeks order. I see you doing well in... Slytherin!

“Yes, nice go at it Candace. 5 points to Hufflepuff for your contribution.” Landon replied before looking to Kimberly. “And 10 points to Slytherin for not only contributing but being spot on.” He said and then added. "A beater's job is in fact to hit bludgers at the opposing team, to make it more difficult for them. The only thing your classmates missed was that they also protect their own teammates from incoming bludgers as well." Landon spoke to the class. "There are two beaters on each team and they are known to be the ones most hit by bludgers, whether it's by being aimed at or missing their target." He explained further.
“Now, I’m sure you don’t want to just sit and listen to one giant lecture on how playing Beater works. Besides I find the best way to learn is to try it for yourself.” Landon told them with a small smirk. “So today I’m giving you a change to try it out for yourselves. For those who already know how to play Beater think of this as practice. I promise our next topic will be something you’ve never done less you’ve played any other position.”He said knowing it would be boring for those who already knew but they could at least help their classmates if they wanted too.
Landon then handed out the Beater bats and brooms to anyone who needed them.“Now before I release the bludgers on you I’m going to explain how this works. Line the Beater bat up with the incoming bludger, and give a good swing at an angle that will get it to go in the direction you want it to go.”He explained. “You are all aiming at those targets there, so good luck and most importantly have fun. As mentioned before, with playing Beater you take a big risk of being hit, but do not worry if that happens. I’ll be casting the softening charm to insure you don’t get injured during class.” Landon assured them hoping they’d go out there and just have some fun.

Landon was excited for this lesson. Why? Because he was teaching his third years how to play the position he grew up playing. When they came in, he went straight to it with a smile beaming on his face. "Hello class, today I have two positions we're going to be covering Chaser and Keeper. Why put the two together? Well I figure since they are largely related to one another it's only fitting."he explained.
"Now, who can tell me about either position? Any takers…?" Landon asked curiously. You could tell that he was overly enthusiastic about this particular lecture today. Almost made you wonder if he played one of the positions they were discussing. Either way Landon was always his happiest teaching the class during this time.

Alec rolled his eyes. At this point, if someone here didn't know what a chaser or a keeper was, they had a lot bigger problems. He raised his hand reluctantly. "The chaser's job is to get the quaffle into the opposing team's goal, which usually involves stealing the quaffle from the opposing team's chasers." He should know, being a reserve; he really wanted to make first string next year, even if there was stiff competition.

Well I thought I knew you, thinkin' that you were true. Guess I couldn't trust, called your bluff. Time is up 'cause I've had enough. You were there by my side, always down for the ride, But your joy ride just came down in flames 'cause your greed sold me out in shame.

Ah, Advanced Flying. Marcello was back again for another year of this class, specifically the second part of it, for Third Years. He loved Flying, and Quidditch, so he took this class to improve his skills and try to get an advantage on the other players, even though most of the players that were in his year were most likely in this class, so it wasn't really an advantage... Either way, it was a fun class where he got to learn more about flying, so it was a good thing in his book. Arriving to class, he tossed his bag on the ground and hurried over to the group of students that were lined up in front of their professor. Falling into line, he listened as his teacher spoke, outlining the rules before asking the starting question for their lecture. It was about the Beater position, his favorite and actual position on the Ravenclaw team. So naturally, his hand shot up. "The Beater's job is to protect the other players on their team by blocking Bludgers that the other team's Beaters aimed at them, and to hit the other team to try to knock them out, or keep them from playing as well." Maybe it got a little... morbid, but hey, it was a rough sport. What else could he say?

Hikaru was so ready for this class. He wanted to be the best as keeper and this class would help. He felt silly sticking by Marcel in all his classes but they where good friends and Hikaru was usually happier and more social when he had friends nearby. Marcel explained beaters very well so at most Hikaru only had only additions to add. "They can even help prevent score before the goal which helps Keepers!" He said perky. It was a good day!
