♦ ♦ ♦ THE BLOOD TASTES BITTER... ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ BUT THE REVENGE IS SO SWEET. ♦ ♦ ♦ As Kiernan followed the man into the thick forest, he found it increasingly hard to keep up without drawing unwanted attention to himself. Once he had managed to lag so far behind that his aged eyes couldn't tell which direction the blurry figure had gone, he slowed his pace and carefully tranformed into his animagus form.
Much better. He thought to himself, his giant lips curling into a devilish sneer as the body of a full grown, 450 pound male lion delved deeper into the forest. His wavy, whitish-gray mane was a trademark of his human hair, and blew around his face in the night wind, obscuring his dark brown eyes. Kiernan took advantage of his improved senses to easily track down the direction of the man. Despite the rise and fall of his massive stomach, his fur-stricken paws seemed to hit all the right spots on the forest floor, only coming in contact where no noisy leaves or brush would give away his presence. After just seconds of sprinting between, over, and under trees, branches, and leafy plants, he was already within fifteen feet of his target, and dropped low to the ground to avoid being seen. Every few steps the man took, Kiernan raised himself into a low stalk, slinking through the ground-level shrubbery.
After almost ten minutes of tailing the man, Kiernan began to wonder where exactly they were headed. If this did happen to be his son, he could likely be cutting through the forest to the school grounds, and though that would bring the old man close to what he had come for, it would be much too close. He knew he had little to no chance of getting past the thickly cast magic of Hogwarts, not without making it known, and that would completely deplete the purpose of his presence here.
The slow, but consistent travel carried on for such a length of time that Kiernan had not been expecting the man to finally come to a halt. He disappeared behind a wall of thick trees and shrubs, but Kiernan could easily decipher the slowed footsteps, and with much concentration, even the man's layered breathing. The voices caught him by surprise however, and he realized that half of the long breaths he had heard had to have belonged to a whole separate person. He crouched low, hidden amid the shadows of a giant felled alder tree. The man's first words were easily audible, though that didn't mean he understood them. Bails? His thought process was working at the speed of light as he tried to remember the name of his ruddy, half-blood granddaughter. He had studied the picture he had found night and day before making his journey to Hogsmeade, but he didn't know what name he was looking for. Bails wasn't a name he'd ever heard before, but it wasn't insane to think that his daughter was just horrible at naming children, on top of everything else she had disappointed him with.
Kiernan didn't have to wait long for a confirmation of his suspicions, as the voice that replied to the man's undoubtedly belonged to a young girl, though that wasn't what struck his adrenaline like a match. Uncle Braylon... Most fathers, even in his position, would feel a pang of resentment or regret, at the least. Not Kiernan. The only thing he felt was pure happiness pumping through his villainous veins. He hadn't even been in Hogsmeade for five minutes before finding his biggest clue. His second clue, which happened to be his son, appeared just moment later, and somehow, Kiernan was lucky enough to simply be lead into the forest to meet the exact person he was here to destroy. Of course his entire plan would have been to eventually bring pain and agony to his daughter, and hopefully his son's life, but now things would be much easier. There was no waiting, no wondering. He could simply kill the bloody b***h in front of her mum and uncle, then slaughter them once he was satisfied with the damage he had done; the same type of damage they had done by putting him in Azkaban.
Kienan took mental note of the entire conversation, drawing what he could from the vague words that were passed between the two. His heartbeat stuttered a bit when he realized what they were meeting for. She's an animagus... If Lyra had only had the brains to fall for a wizard, and preferably one of power, and if she would not have despised him for his faith and devotion to the dark arts, maybe Kiernan would have been proud that his granddaughter was following in his footsteps. Again, that wasn't Kiernan. The thought of his grandkid turning into a cat did make him happy, but for much more sadistic reasons. It would make this game of cat and mou- smaller cat...much more fun by granting him with a bit more of a challenge.
Surprise washed over him as the girl's voice suddenly drifted away, and he dipped low beneath the tree's flaking bark to avoid being seen, or even stepped on, by his son. He was certainly satisfied however, as he had gotten what he needed out of the quick conversation, three simple things. 1) Bailey Oliver, 2) clouded leopard, 3) Thursday night. He not only found his dreaded granddaughter, but he was practically handed the perfect opportunity to follow through with his initial plan. Although, things were definitely different now that he knew his targets were living in the village. What fun was killing the twit if they weren't there to see it? After all, they were who Kiernan wanted to hurt, killing the little school girl was just a way of helping rid the world of all the vial, muddy blood that had been ruined through arrogant wizards and witches who couldn't appreciate the true meaning of pure blood.
Kiernan didn't need to follow Braylon to find his way back to Hogsmeade. His eyes worked nearly as good at night as they did in the day. He took an alternative route back, though. He needed time to reconstruct his plan, and wouldn't be able to shop for his provisions until sunlight anyway, no matter how dangerous that might be. He repeated the needed information over and over again in his cluttered brain, playing the conversation back like a skipping record, hoping to aid himself with any further details he could pull from it. He only had two days to devise a full blown, flawless plan to kidnap Bailey and put an end to his bloodline, but raising hell was something that not only came naturally to him, but he intensely enjoyed.

*in a separate section of the forest* Naaki stepped lightly through the brush of the quiet forest. He had heard stories of the humans fearing this place yet he could not see how it was frightening. In fact it was very peaceful. Instead he found their habitat to be a bit scary. He vowed to both himself and his mother that he would never venture anywhere near their home.
It had not been long since he had arrived in this part of the woods. Since he had arrived he had not met one other creature save for a few small ones that he spotted for only a brief moment in the distance. Even small creatures such as chipmunks caused the centaur to jump a little. He was grateful though that only a few weeks earlier he had run into a small group of centaurs. His reputation with them was rather lacking and thus the reason he was out wandering alone. It wasn't really his fault he liked to play around and pull pranks on the elder of kind. They just didn't have a sense of humor. Such logic he used when ever he was scolded by them.
Today he was out searching for a friend. Someone who did have a sense of humor and who he could play with. Perhaps he could even learn archery or something from them. Whatever it was he hoped he found someone.

Ammar”Nature should never be forgot”"Quickly," As strong as ever, Ammar raced through the forest, eager to receive the gift that the current Headmistress of the school neighboring their forest would bestow upon them. He was promised a sword of sorts, although they had no idea what it was, exactly.
Ammar paused to look back over his shoulder at the two centaurs who were to accompany him to the meeting area, "Are you two keeping up?" the centaur laughed, "we are nearly there," ”It is resilient and determined to win”

Nyruion was grining as he sped through the forrest after the older centuar. He hadn't been in the forest long but he absolutely loved it here. The young stalleon looked around as he ran. Honestly he almost smacked into several branches but managed to recover in time. Leaping easily over a fallen long, Nyruion rushed to Ammar's right side. "Of course. You're legs aren't that much longer then ours. You won't leave us behind." Nyruion said grinning. He rather liked the older centaur. At times he was surprised that he didn't get on the other's nerves. Turning to glance behind them he smiled at the third centaur. Naaki was a bit different like himself. He couldn't help but think that the centaur's deer like horns were amazing. But to get the boy to talk was a fun experience. "Naaki! Come on if you don't hurry up you'll get lost!" He said with a laugh as he ducked under another branch. No branch was gunna sneak up and smack him.

Naaki bounded after the two centaurs with graceful ease. He dodged each branch and root as if they were not even there. He really wouldn't believe that he would get lost. His attention was trained on the leader of this small group, Ammar. The centaur was inspiring as to how he carried himself and spoke. Although even he was subject to Naaki's occasional pranks he still respected him and was grateful that he allowed him to come along. As for the younger centaur he was just as grateful. Nyurion had previously promised to teach him how to use a bow and arrow. A skill that he had desperately wanted after seeing others use it.

Ammar”Nature should never be forgot”"Quickly," Ammar laughed out, racing through the thick forest and dodging around trees. His heart raced in excitement. His father would be proud of him. Proud of him for bringing the gift to his people. Giving them hope.
He slowed down as soon as the edge of the meeting area came into sight, "Hold," he raised his hand towards the other two. Puffing out his chest, he pulled his bow that was strapped around his back and chest from his body, "Prepare yourselves,"”It is resilient and determined to win”

On command Naaki froze with no extra movement. His ears flicked up and twitched. Ammar seemed a bit worried about something which in turn worried him. He still had not learned how to use a weapon yet but this didn't mean he was useless in a fight. Due to his age Naaki had become quite adept at using his antlers. His ears flicked in all directions while his eyes always looked in the opposite. He'd be ready for what ever was coming.

Ammar reached out in front of them and pulled apart the wall of forest that separated them and the human who was already standing on the meeting area. She was alone, standing there with the gift in her hands. The centaurs were promised a gift as a pact of friendship between the school and Ammar's herd, but they did not know much about what the gift was.
He approached the Headmistress and puffed out his chest, showing that he was the leader of the small group of centaurs "I am Ammar, and this is Nyurion," he glanced respectfully at Nyurion, then to Naaki, "And this is Naaki. We have come to receive the gift that you are bestowing upon our herd,"

Naaki stayed behind the other two and eyed the human with a mix of curiosity and fear. Never before had he ever come this close to one before. She seemed nice enough and she was even presenting them with a gift but he still didn't like to be near her. His ears lay flat and his eyes never left her.

He was lonely and was teasing some of the smaller forest animals, scaring them and chasing them. It had been days since he had last spoken to someone and he tried to come up with an excuse to wander into the castle.
"I'm hungry... Probably could go by the hospital wing for some blood."
Alexi was forbidden to feed off the castle's residents, so he arranged for bags of blood to be shipped to Hogwarts to serve as his meals. It tasted terrible, like all blood that wasn't fresh. But it was better then starving.
"Well then, let's sneak in. Wouldn't want to scare some little first year who's never seen a vampire before in his life."
Alexi looked around, trying to determine where he needed to go, when he heard a twig snap behind him...◦º°×°º◦†×º°◦°º×†◦º°×°º◦†×º°◦°º×†×º°◦°º×†◦º°×°º◦†×º°◦°º×†◦º°×°º◦

"Miss, wake up. This is no place to sleep. Come on, don't do this to me..."

♦ ♦ ♦ THE BLOOD TASTES BITTER... ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ BUT THE REVENGE IS SO SWEET. ♦ ♦ ♦ As Kiernan crept deeper into the Forbidden Forest, his thoughts continued to stutter on one though: Tonight was the night. He had awaited its arrival for almost fifteen years now, a revenge that was much deserved in his eyes. This would be the day when all signs of weakness would be eradicated from his bloodline, and though he would stand alone in the end, he knew there was no other way. However, the fate of his family depended on whether or not he could manage to pull off the first phase of his plan: Turning Bailey to his side. He knew it may require a memory charm here and there, but without help, he knew his chances at murdering three people in one night without ending up in a grave himself was next to impossible. His skill may be just as sharp as ever, but his body was aging quickly, forcing him to work alongside the last person Lyra and Braylon would imagine - Bailey Oliver.
As he neared the core of the forest, he could sense that a few more minutes of walking would bring him to the same clearing where his son and granddaughter had held their meeting just a few nights ago. Slowing down, Kiernan strethched his thinning arms and took a deep, rugged breath before transforming into his animagus form.
Breathing in the cool night air, and taking in his immediate surroundings through a different set of eyes, Kiernan's enormous mouth stretched into a carnivorous smile. His large paws carried him to the outskirts of the clearing in just a few long strides, but he didn't penetrate the open ground. He wanted his presence here to be a surprise when Bailey arrived. He had already forged a letter, pretending to be her Uncle Braylon wanting to help her practice becoming an animagus. Now all he had to do was wait for his prey to take the bait.
