Okay, so this was totally awesome! She already had a friend (probably) in Zoe and they got to ride weird little magical boats across the water. Even though they didn't see the mermaids or the Giant Squid, it was still pretty cool. Zoe definitely didn't look like she was having fun though, and Poppy had to figure she either disliked boats or water. But the meta held hands with her new friend, trying to distract by talking about the stars overhead. xxxxx⇾Aᴍʙɪᴛɪᴏᴜs Poppy wants what she wants. With a goal in mind, she’ll do whatever is required to reach for the stars. She will stop at nothing to get what she wants at any given time.
xxxxx⇾Cʜᴀʀᴍɪɴɢ Poppy has always been seen as adorable, and she frequently uses her charm to try and avoid trouble. It doesn’t necessarily work all the time, but it doesn’t mean she can’t try, right?
xxxxx⇾Oʙsᴇʀᴠᴀɴᴛ With a good attention to detail, Poppy uses her observational skill to learn more about the world. She likes to learn about people as well, studying what makes them tick.
xxxxx⇾Bʀɪʟʟɪᴀɴᴛ Poppy uses her observational studies to help her learn. She’s also great at studying and memorizing things, which is super helpful with school.
xxxxx⇾Tʀᴜsᴛᴡᴏʀᴛʜʏ Poppy is incredibly reliable. One can always trust her to do whatever she says she might. She’s also incredibly punctual, which certainly helps.
xxxxx⇾Cᴏᴍᴘᴇᴛɪᴛɪᴠᴇ She wants to be the very best, like no one ever was! Her ambition helps her, but her competitive nature fuels the fire. Poppy works her tail off to be better than the rest.
After dozing off on the boats (and thankfully being awoken before plopping into the water), Cadfael was pretty excited to be up and moving about. He also felt a bit bad that his twin had likely been bored as heck all day, but he couldn't help his bouts of exhaustion. He was honestly mostly concerned about the mountain of stairs all about the school.... oh, and falling asleep in classes, but he knew from Governess Heulwen that the twins would be together in classes for at least the first two years, before electives came into play. Ceri was really good at navigating his issues, which he was forever glad about.
Once they made it into the Great Hall, Ceri claimed his hand to hold while she was excitedly whispering about every single thing they saw. He yawned and turned his head back, before gently nudging his twin. He pointed up to the ceiling, which seemed to be made of the very sky. This place... magic itself... it was all so interesting. After standing for several long minutes while the other first years were called up, Cadfael was called as the first of the Wyn-Weigolds. He pat Ceri's hand and sent her a small grin, then stepped up to let his fate play out.
"Hey there, Sorting Hat, can I just ask you to take care of my sister? And maybe put me somewhere that's not up all those stairs... That would be quite nice too."

xxxxx⇾Lᴀᴢʏ Even with all the energy of a preteen boy, Cae is a rather lazy soul. He’d much rather lounge and watch TV than go out and play sports. He likes to lounge about and will be hard pressed to do vigorous activities, even if invited.
xxxxx⇾Rᴇʟᴀxᴇᴅ Cae’s mood is always in a casual sort of state. It takes a lot to get him all worked up, and even then, he usually hangs on the softer side. He almost never gets angry, instead opting to have calm talk to figure out feelings.
xxxxx⇾Sɪʟʟʏ Cadfael loves to make people laugh. He enjoys telling jokes or silly stories in order to make others happy. He is good at keeping an upbeat attitude and passing it along to anyone who needs a bit of joy.
xxxxx⇾Lᴏʏᴀʟ It doesn’t take much to become close with Cadfael, and once done, you’re a friend for life. He’ll do dang near anything to keep his friends close.
xxxxx⇾Lᴜᴄᴋʏ Good things just seem to Cadfael. He’s just got something looking out for him, it seems. He always thinks that good things come back around, so as long as he keeps doing good, the universe shall provide good to him.
xxxxx⇾Fʀɪᴇɴᴅʟʏ Cadfael tries to be kind to everyone. He always believes in the good within people, and he loves to make people happy. It’s always good to have friends, and he loves each and every one of them.

Oh man, oh man, oh man this was cool! The little rowboats rowed themselves (which was awesome because Ceri totally didn't want to paddle across a lake!) and there was a freaking castle?! It took effort to keep occasionally jostling her brother, especially without accidentally making him fall over into the lake itself... even though she was pretty sure magic had to be able to help, right? But also she didn't want to annoy the grumpy looking guy who was escorting them either. That'd be totally bad.
Thankfully they made it across and up onto the docks without any problems, then they walked into the castle. Inside was somehow even more surreal. There were moving paintings!?! What kind of kooky school would have those! And finally, they ended in a ginormous dining room with a zillion other kids, where they'd apparently be sorted. It didn't take long before the twins realized the list was alphabetical. by surname. Much like every attendance list in primary, they'd be last in line. They waited for EVER as Ceri told her brother about everything she could see. He pointed out the ceiling, which was... invisible?! She pointed out the floating candles.... then, wait! Suddenly Cae was called up! Ceri sent him a double thumbs up as she waited nervously on his sorting. After him, of course, came herself. Ceri skipped up and plopped down, hoping for the best. Even in her internal monologue, she was a rambly talker.... hopefully the hat didn't mind!
"Hey there, hat! My name's Ceridwyn, just in case you didn't hear. The guy you just sorted was my big brother... well, not big, really, since he's only eight minutes older. Plus Mam says girls mature faster, so it's totally almost like I'm the older twin, right?! Oh, anyway, I was just hoping that since me and Cae are twins and pretty much identical that maybe we can be in the same place. I've never been not around him, so also there's that. But you're probably magical, so I bet you're super smart too. I just really like spending time with Cae.... okay?"

xxxxx⇾Aᴄᴛɪᴠᴇ Ceri loves to move and shake. She is like a shark - always on the move. She’s often doing little dances to get her wiggles out.
xxxxx⇾Eᴄʟᴇᴄᴛɪᴄ Everything in Ceridwyn’s sense is a little weird. She mismatches clothes, has odd collections, and is all around just a goofy goober.
xxxxx⇾Sɪʟʟʏ Just like her brother, Ceri loves to make people laugh. She’s a bit uncomfortable by sadness or anger, so she tries to keep moods upbeat and happy. If things get too heavy, she often defaults to her twin for grins.
xxxxx⇾Lᴏᴠɪɴɢ Ceri loves with her whole heart. Once she gets to know people, she will do anything to showcase her love. Between giving handmade gifts and lavishing compliments, Ceri makes sure others know her affection.
xxxxx⇾Oᴘᴛɪᴍɪsᴛɪᴄ Everything in the world is all about silver linings. No matter what grey clouds are overhead, there will always be sunshine behind them. Even on the worst of days, happiness will eventually sparkle again.
xxxxx⇾Fʀɪᴇɴᴅʟʏ Ceridwyn is extremely friendly. She loves to talk to people and get to know them, though she can be a little overeager about it. She’s got a big heart and is always happy to chat.
Henrick was very excited to meet all the people at Hogwarts, to learn about each one of them. Not only that, but he'd be able to do photography and see all the stars. AND he would get to spend time with his cousins. Yes, Henrick was sad that none of his siblings were with him, all of them were either graduated, in America, or at home with his grandparents. He bounced around different train compartments for a while, before his cousins bribed him to sit down with snacks and companionship.
When they got to Hogwarts Henrick got in the boat with some other first years, went across the lake, and talked the ears off of his companions.
They got inside and Henrick waved at his dad who waved back slightly. When it was his turn Henrick sat down and thought to the hat, "Hi Mr. Hat - you've sorted plenty of us Knapps. I think I just want to go somewhere that I can become something amazing."
Personality:
xxxPERSONALITY ENFP-A (Campaigner)xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx GenerousHenrick is kind and wants to help anyone he can; he’s willing to give anything and everything if it means helping someone out. Open-MindedHenrick loves learning new things, and getting the opinions from others. He will listen to anyone's opinion and offer his own in return Responsible Henrick took the job of “older brother” very seriously - especially once he was the oldest brother in the house. He made sure everything got done and the younger kids were taken care of. Ambitious Henrick wants to succeed and takes on everything he can to make that happen. Self-CriticalHenrick often asks himself “could I have done that better?” He doesn’t care what others think of him but he beats himself up about his own flaws
Amelia’s hands shook as she moved into the Great Hall with the rest of the first years, Nigel right next to her. She didn’t know why she was nervous. Well, except for the fact that she had an anxiety disorder and was almost always nervous. But aside from that, this place was incredible and she should have been enjoying it. The soaring ceilings and floating candles, a big cozy fireplace that was practically calling her to come sit in front of it. It was like someplace out of her dreams. She just tried to put all her focus on that. She also slipped in her earplugs which helped her focus a little more. She was here for the next seven years, she might as well learn to enjoy it.
Amelia scanned the Great Hall, easily spotting Noah and Charlotte before moving her eyes to the Staff table and catching sight of Uncle Jack. He noticed and gave her a little thumbs up. She did her best to smile back just as Professor Clarke announced the sorting. Amelia found herself staring at the worn hat, her heart starting to beat even more wildly in her chest. She knew she’d be up soon since her surname started with a B, which was a blessing, she got to get it over with and not have to stand there getting more and more nervous with every student. Then, before she knew it, she heard her name. She stepped forward, pushing down the butterflies in her stomach and sat down on the stool, gripping the edges so hard her knuckles just about turned white. She felt the hat come over her head and her brain started.
“I really told myself that I wouldn’t say anything to influence you but like…I’d really like to be in Hufflepuff and I do think I’m a good option. My personality seems to align pretty well, though there may be a little bit of Ravenclaw in there but I just can’t see myself with them, plus the Hufflepuff common room seems to cozy. I’m kind of weird, I prefer small spaces and being underground sounds amazing…and…I’m rambling. I’ll just…I’ll just let you do your thing then. Sorry to be a bother.”
PASSIONATE Amelia is passionate in just about every aspect of her life. She has opinions on just about everything and will very happily share those opinions. Good luck getting her to stop once you get her started on one of these opinions. If she loves something, she loves it with her whole heart. CREATIVE Amelia’s brain is constantly turning, coming up with new stories and ideas. Even something as small as a new smell can start a whole other world in her brain. These ideas come out in anything from a script to a painting. She loves to bring something new into existence and knows there are always a million different ways to look at the same thing. ANXIOUS Though she’s become a pro at hiding it when she needs it, it’s no secret that Amelia’s main response to many situations is anxiety. Oftentimes her brain will immediately jump to the worst-case scenario or hyperfixate on things she has no control over. Her experiences filter first through how things could possibly go wrong. AUTHENTIC With Amelia you’ll never have to wonder about where you stand. She’ll tell you. She doesn’t hide who she is or what she feels, nor does she feel a reason to. She’s very sincere and isn’t afraid to share her thoughts and feelings. She’s honest with other people and would never lie or manipulate another person. TRUSTWORTHY When Amelia says she’ll do something, she’ll follow through. She’s naturally a hard worker and if she has a task to do, she’ll happily complete it. She will also always stand by the people she loves, they can count on her for anything. The idea of betraying another person wouldn’t even cross her mind. INTROVERTED It’s not that Amelia hates socializing, in fact sometimes she really enjoys it, it’s just that it can be hard work. Oftentimes she prefers to be on her own or with a small group of people she’s most comfortable with. She’s not a fan of crowds (except maybe at comic conventions and certain theme parks) and usually finds somewhere off to the side to stay when she’s in large groups. It’s easy for her to get overstimulated when she has to deal with a lot of people.

Corin was prepared as ever for his first day at Hogwarts. The day was off to a good start. Sure, it started with walking up way too early. However, he had managed to pack his things and get onto the platform before the train left the station. Saying goodbye to his parents and sister, Corin wasn’t completely heartbroken that he was leaving. No, he was more excited to go to school. Boarding the train, the young boy took a seat and prepared for the long train ride to school. It wouldn’t surprise him if he was at Hogsmeade before he noticed it. He just needed to keep himself distracted to pass the time.
Luckily Corin knew how to do just that. The Hogwarts express hit the platform at Hogsmeade and they were instructed to gather round. The first years were given a boat ride to the school, probably to allow the older students to get to the castle before them. This didn’t bother Corin as he didn’t mind the idea of a boat ride. Wasn’t like it was freezing cold or anything. Taking the trip, the castle came into view and Corin was filled with even more feelings of excitement. How would the year go, would he make friends, where would he end up? These questions were swirling, and it was only a matter of time before he found out.
Entering the great hall, Corin followed along with the other first years to the front of the room for the sorting to begin. This was where it all happened, in a matter of moments he’d know where he’d be spending the next seven years. Corin waited patiently for his name to be called. Luckily, he didn’t have to wait very long. Walking up he took a seat on the stool and waited for the hat to be placed on his head.
'Both my parents were in Slytherin. All Devereux family members belong in Slytherin. That means I should be in Slytherin.'
What sounded like a question, was more of a statement in Corin's mind. Little did he realize not all Devereux’ were sorted into Slytherin. In fact, a fair few including his aunts and uncle were sorted into other houses.

■ PERFECTIONISTThe first thing you need to know about Corin is that he’s a perfectionist at heart. He’s extremely particular and in a lot of ways picky about how things are to be done. He’s very detail oriented and likes things to be well organized and laid out in a certain way. He can be a bit controlling at times, as he doesn’t like things being done differently from the way he’d do things. ■ ASSERTIVECorin is very sure of himself and rightfully so given the way his parents raised him. He is the oldest and thus is the leader below his father. As such he pushes his decisions and remains true to them. Not much will let Corin waver from how he wants things done. Though his confidence can come off as being a bit of a know it all, if not a bit arrogant. ■ DETERMINEDLetting things go isn’t Corin’s forte. He’s very determined and overall, quite stubborn when it comes to things he sets his mind on. Whether it be a stance on something or a plan he’s set in motion, Corin will not back down. While committed he can be way over the top. ■ HELPFULDespite not being the best at being overly sympathetic, to the situation of others, Corin will still give a hand. If he can give an out of the box idea that can solve a problem, he will. Though, it might not always be solicited. At least you can say he’s helpful to some extent. ■ PROTECTIVELastly, Corin can be a protective person. Though, he’s not one to overly show it, he cares about the safety of his family and friends. He’s always alert to what is around him to ensure no trouble happens. As the older sibling it was something he felt he needed to do to look out for his younger sibling.

Kara was new to this whole magic thing. When she found out she was a witch, she wasn’t sure what that really meant. It wasn’t until she went to Diagon Alley to get her wand that she started to understand more about it. Though, a lot was still very much unknown, she knew she’d figure it out. Only problem was she’d have to leave her dance school, something she loved through and through. It would be an adjustment, but her mother told her not to let it get to her, that she could dance anywhere.
The young girl hung onto that as she headed onto the platform. She could feel the sadness in the moment as she said goodbye and boarded the train. Off she went headed towards a school she’d never heard about. How things would go or even where they would go was all a mystery. Kara waited for the train to arrive, spending her time looking out the window as the world went by. She only looked away when she decided to read her book, though her mind just wasn’t staying focused for once on that.
Upon arriving, Kara got into her school robes before joining the group of first years for the trip to school. She didn’t know until they got to the lake that they’d be traveling on the water. Taking the trip, it was a nice ride and the castle coming into view was something else entirely. Kara was mesmerized by the scene before her, staring at the castle as they came up to the boathouse. Looking around as they headed to the great hall.
Entering the great hall, Kara stopped in awe. There was nothing else like it. It took a second before she was nudged forward by another student. She turned her focus to getting to the front of the great hall before looking around back and forth. This was pretty cool so far. Being told how this would work, Kara waited for her name to be called (which of course was one of the last names to be called). Walking up the young girl took a seat. Glancing up as the hat was placed on her head, she wondered how a hat would make that choice.
'Not sure how this works but I guess you’d know best right…?'
Not knowing the difference, Kara would go anywhere. She was ready to go along with whatever the sorting hat said.

■ QUIETKara’s a quiet individual who prefers to listen then speak her mind (most of the time). This is especially so during moments of confrontation. The more she can find out the better things will be in the long run. When she does talk it tends to be soft and even toned. She really isn’t one to start an argument and typically tries to prevent any arguments from occurring. You can also be sure she won’t gain much attention since being rather quiet even while on the move. She doesn’t like to attract attention and prefers to blend into the background. Though don’t be fooled she will state her peace if she has something to say. ■ INQUISITIVEDespite her silence, Kara has an inquisitive nature. Full of intrigue she’s one for getting in close and coming to understand what’s going on. However, when she first enters a situation, she’s one to assume what’s going on without anything backing her assumptions. At times this can lead to her assuming wrong which she is quick to apologize for. Though, she will work to learn all she can after the fact, even if it includes getting into someone else’s personal business. She can be rather prying in order to get the ball rolling into somewhat of a conversation although she tries not to push it too far. ■ POLITEKara’s politeness doesn’t just stop after she assumes the wrong thing. In fact, she is polite on a general basis. She’s well mannered and respectful to other people and unless given a reason not to she’s thoughtful with her words. Her aim isn’t to hurt people but to help people. Though, generally she doesn’t personally care about other people’s problems. Not as much as she leads others to believe at least. However, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t care for those around her. Kara will always try to keep things civil regardless of her feelings. As being discreet yields results and doesn’t draw attention. ■ PASSIVEKara has a passive desire to go along and comply with what others see for her or say for that matter. Although being rather selfless with regards to what others want, she isn’t completely so. She’d hardly put herself in the position to stick her neck out there if someone else is around willing to do so. However, she will certainly consider helping. She also isn’t a total push over either. Though, she won’t stand in the way of others and will accept the actions and behaviors of others, she won’t just sit completely by. Especially if it meant leaving a friend to suffer the consequences. ■ LEVEL-HEADEDKara is generally rather calm although she can have an occasional temper. Granted it rarely shows. Being realistic and in turn sensible on what can and cannot be done, she’s decent at planning and can also see the chances of a conversation ending in compromise. She’s pretty good at playing the mediator in a conversation. Most of the time being able to calm a heated situation. Though that’s not to say that when a conversation does get heated or something manages to agitate her that she won’t put her two cents in. ■ CONFIDENTDespite being passive, Kara is quite confident with her ideas. She's sure herself with regards to her studies believing she can do anything she sets out to do. When speaking about topics she comes off as knowing what she is talking about. Though, she is quiet about it, that doesn’t mean she isn’t sure of what she’s saying. Kara will state her peace in a conversation and leave it at that. If given the opportunity she would share her opinion and would defend it. However, she wouldn’t go so far as to argue over who’s right and who’s wrong. Kara is more then willing to hear the other side of the argument. Though she’s more then willing to agree to disagree if it means keeping things calm and at the very least civil.

Aina had had her ears turned on for the walk through the school so that she could hear everything that Professor Clarke had said about the school. As they approached the Great Hall, they were rejoined by Lewis, who was there to help her. She was confident that she could keep her hearing aids turned on, but as they actually entered the Great Hall, she winced in pain. The sheer volume of the room brought actual tears to her eyes and the brunette was frantically looking around. Tugging on Lewis' shirt, she signed that she couldn't do it and turned off the hearing aids. But since she couldn't hear when her name was called, she kept her eyes on Lewis so that he could sign to her when it was her turn. When it was her turn, she took the stool, feeling very uncomfortable that everyone was looking at her. Looking around, she caught the eyes of her cousin watching her. Please put me with my cousin, she thought to the Hat as it began speaking in her mind.
xxx𝓟𝒆𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂xxx xxxxx⇾Quiet Aina doesn't talk much and doesn't really enjoy verbal conversation. She prefers to avoid loud noises or large gatherings where the volume gets really loud. She is clearly aware of her impediment and it makes her very uncomfortable. xxxxx⇾Timid The combination of her quiet and self-conscious natures make her also fearful when it comes to social interactions. Pàdraig had heard all about how cool the Great Hall at Hogwarts was, but seeing with his own eyes was something else altogether. He was taken aback by the view of the ceiling reflecting the cloudy skies outside. There were a lot of kids in the seats around them, each sorted by their houses. He was looking forward to getting sorted as well and finding out where he'd be. He hoped it was Gryffindor, not only because his favorite color was red, but because he wanted to see the view from that super high tower.Plus, they were the house of bravery, right?

The Professor set the hat down carefully on the student's head. For a moment the hat was silent before speaking.... For you, something new! To follow your brother would be folly, Your own path you must blaze. And the best way to do that is with... GRYFFINDOR!

✥𝔏𝔬𝔠𝔞𝔱𝔦𝔬𝔫 : Great Hall - Sorting (2064) ✥ℭ𝔬𝔪𝔭𝔞𝔫𝔶 : Other First Years...

The Professor set the hat down carefully on the student's head. For a moment the hat was silent before speaking.... I see you are quite used to your way! That sort of bold ambition belongs in only one place. You told me correct, Join your lineage in.... SLYTHERIN!
