Rhett enjoyed flying, though, he was no quidditch player. Part of him wondered if he should have tried out for the team or should try out for the team in the future but he knew that while he was athletic enough it was unlikely that he would be as much help as his sister was for her house. Quidditch players were one thing the Gryffindor house never lacked. He hurried on to the field finding himself one of the first there besides Professor Price gave him a sort of comfort. He had worried he was going to be late. When the class began Professor Price brought up one of Rhett's favorite positions: beater. Grinning, Rhett held up his hand and answered when called on, "Beaters hit these angry metal balls away from their teammates and at the other team. Those angry metal balls are the bludgers of course and they apparently hurt like the Dickens. Beaters carry bats to hit the bludgers in a direction they want them to go. My sister was a beater when she was in school, too." He was pretty sure his last fact was not particularly helpful but Rhett found it cool. He was always impressed that his generally quiet and calm sister was able to find the strength and determination to be a beater. It in many ways went against their nature to not hurt others with their nymph blood.
Oh gee he was so late! Ferdie ran out to the pitch. Ok maybe staying up and playing that muggle card game with the muggleborns till super late was a bad idea. It was fun though. He was happy to see Rhett he felt they were good friends and he hoped Rhett was the same way. The teacher asked about bludgers. He was going to awnser but Rhett had beat him too it.

Professor Landon Price Muggleborn ▲Former Hufflepuff Professor of Flying (1st to 3rd Year)
Location: Class (on the pitch) - Friday @ 10:00am
Landon walked onto the field for his third year class. He hoped the students would enjoy this year more than last. He’d be teaching them everything they would need to know to play Quidditch and for some, make them into professionals. It was a tough job but someone had to do it. Landon knew just about everything there was to know about Quidditch, so it was only fitting for him to want them to know just as much.
As the students started to come onto the field Landon smiled. "Good morning class, it's good to see you back again and I hope your first week back has been going well so far." he told them brightly. "Just a quick reminder on the rules before we get started, come to class on time and prepared to have fun and do your best. No horsing around and please leave your wands in your bags." Landon quickly skimmed over. "Now, this year we will be covering all the positions in Quidditch. For today we will be starting off with the position of Beater. So what can you guys tell me about it?" he asked curiously wondering what his class already knew.
Jeremy came to class a bit later than hoped but hey he was here. Was he late if he was the first here? Likely so but it was a fun thought. He sat and awaited other students. Once class began he was attentive "Beaters are the players that keep the bludger off thier own team and send them at the other team." Jeremy awnsered. He did wonder if keepers were ever in a beaters cross hairs. Perhaps if stratgy called for it

"Yes, Jeremy that is correct. 10 points to Slytherin." Landon replied to the third years statement. "A beater's job is in fact to hit bludgers at the opposing team to make it more difficult for them, as well as to protect their own teammates from incoming bludgers. There are two beaters on each team and they are known to be the ones most hit by bludgers, whether it's by being aimed at or missing their target." Landon explained.
“Now, I’m sure you don’t want to just sit and listen to one giant lecture on how playing Beater works. Besides I find the best way to learn is to try it for yourself.” Landon told them with a small smirk. “So today I’m giving you a change to try it out for yourselves. For those who already know how to play Beater think of this as practice. I promise our next topic will be something you’ve never done less you’ve played any other position.”He said knowing it would be boring for those who already knew but they could at least help their classmates if they wanted too.
Landon then handed out the Beater bats and brooms to anyone who needed them.“Now before I release the bludgers on you I’m going to explain how this works. Line the Beater bat up with the incoming bludger, and give a good swing at an angle that will get it to go in the direction you want it to go.”He explained. “You are all aiming at those targets there, so good luck and most importantly have fun. As mentioned before, with playing Beater you take a big risk of being hit, but do not worry if that happens. I’ll be casting the softening charm to insure you don’t get injured during class.” Landon assured them hoping they’d go out there and just have some fun.

❁ Mary Fidelma Conri-Dechering ❁ xxxxx ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- xxxx <3rd Year> <"American Girl" and Georgia Peach>
Time: 2042-2043 Location: Advance Flying II ------------------------------------------------------------------------xx
Mary loved flying classes. She supposed in many ways she was the opposite of her brother in that sense. Quinn didn't hate flying but was more indifferent to it from her observations. Mary held onto her broom tight as she bounded onto the field a smile on her face. She would miss Professor Price next year she reckoned. She made a little "ooh" noise when the professor stated that they would be going over positions this year. When he asked about beaters, Mary eagerly raised her hand and answered, "Beaters are like knights on broomsticks! They protect everyone from the pesky bludgers which hurt like the... well the Dickens, if you'll excuse my language. They also can aim bludgers at people too but that isn't as romantical."
For a moment the hat was silent before speaking.... My dear, I wager your father will be proud of you regardless You need to forge your own path And I think you'll be doing just that in Hufflepuff!
You hear the door slam And realize there's nowhere left to run You feel the cold hand And wonder if you'll ever see the sun You close your eyes
Cian marched on to the pitch excited for this class. He had brought his new broom even if he didn't need it today. He joined the rest of the class. Paying attention for once he was happy to hear the lesson was about his own position on the team, beater. When the question arose he was so ready. " Also we got a special bat designed for the pesky canon balls. They usually default to the closest player unless we bash them somewhere else. Cian replied felling smart. Something his sister would disagree with.
And hope that this is just imagination Girl but all the while You hear a creature creeping up behind You're out of time
