xxxLOCATION Manhattan; A diner. xxxxxx FEELINGS Mellow.xxxxxxxx
Liam hadn’t disappeared completely. He had let Alaine know he was leaving. However perhaps it was his own fault for not keeping up with Alaine. Laim had stayed longer than expected after all he had only meant to be gone a week, instead he was gone for four. He wasn’t surprised however as Alaine ignored him. Liam didn’t expect any texts, after all he was keeping himself silent and separate from work. He needed time to recover from his loss.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if he had lost his job, after all he couldn't continue to let Alaine wait for him. Arriving at a small diner near his house, Liam had parked his car. He got out after turning off the car and headed inside. Liam didn’t expect a response so fast, but he at least hoped for one before tonight. He took a seat in a corner booth as he grabbed the menu. Liam started looking through it trying to debate what he wanted.
After a while, he was greeted by a waitress. He ordered himself some coffee, as he sat there continuing to look over his menu. Feeling his phone go off in his pocket, he pulled it out. Checking his text, he was surprised. Liam sighed softly at the response, wondering if Alaine was mad at him. He thanked the waitress as she returned with his coffee, he ordered himself a veggie omelet along with a fruit bowl. Returning to his phone, Liam texted a response. ”I am coming back...Unless you don’t want me to.” He teased slightly, but didn’t push it too much. Liam set his menu aside as he went about surfing the internet on his phone.

"To say the least, Micha was a little worried about Samuel returning to work. However he couldn’t stop him. Samuel couldn’t continue babysit him. They both needed some space to return back to their jobs. For Micha it would be a while before returning, but Samuel’s club could continue but for on so long, along with his other businesses. He didn’t want to hold Samuel back, after all it wasn’t as if he could.
Micha was understanding because he had to be. He knew what to expect in the beginning when it came to being with Samuel. The man had a life and a position to uphold. After all it would only be so long before Samuel’s family grew curious of his absence. He was surprised it hadn’t happened sooner. Micha was in no mood to be greeted by them, which was why he was returning to his own home. As much as he wanted to continue to live with Samuel, he needed some space to just be okay with everything that had happened.

He wasn't mad at Liam, just irritated. It was hard enough to be running the club all on his own. But when an employee tells him they were going to be gone for a certain amount of time he kind of expected them to be back by the end of that time. Instead, Liam failed to tell him that he was extending the vacation. If someone else were taking charge, he was sure that the male would be out of a job. He was certainly lucky that Samuel was out of the office. Still that was no excuse. Alaine sipped on his coffee and picked at his muffin. It was too early to be this irritated and yet here he was. Last night had been horrible. Two employees were over an hour late to their shift and a third didn't show up at all. The club had been busy and it was exhausting to keep things in check. He was so tired, it was all he could do to drag himself home.
Nibbling his muffin, his phone soon buzzed beside him. Even through text he could tell that the male was teasing. It was a bit unfair. Here he was trying to sulk the morning away and in waltz his on-again, off-again lover. Sighing heavily, he pulled his phone closer and picked it up. He wished he had the energy to be just as teasing. But it was too much. Breakfast was only keeping him awake enough to get home without rear ending the next car that cuts him off. "I never said that. he replied. He thought of leaving the message like that, but thought it best to continue. "If you really wanna work tonight be there by seven. You can do a bit of cleaning before we open for the early crowd." Hitting the send button, he set his phone back down and continued eating his breakfast. It was annoying how much he hoped the male might be there tonight. As much as he hated to admit, he did kind of miss him. But only a little.

Being fired wouldn’t have surprised him. He knew how busy the club was. It knew that the demand for dancers was high, so he could get a job just about anywhere. Even if he had to go toward striping, it was a job. He had only ever done it once when he was just starting out. Liam wasn’t afraid to go back to it if he needed to. However he really hoped not to. He much preferred the distance he had with the patrons, as compared to that of a stripper where he was most likely to be man handled.
Liam knew it was still early in the morning. He was rather surprised Alaine had returned his texts. Liam could only wonder how life had been in the past month. He knew he had left Alaine hanging, but if he had been curious to how he was doing, he could have picked up the phone. Liam was curious to where things were heading between them. He wouldn’t be surprised if Alaine chose to ignore him.
After receiving his meal, his phone went off again. Liam checked the message, and smiled a little. At least he still had his job, other things he would worry about later. ”Can do..See you at seven. biggrin He texted before setting his phone aside to continue with his meal.
Once he finished eating, Liam left the diner, after paying. He headed back on the street. Liam wasn’t tired but he was in a mood to shop. He needed to find some new dance clothes for the evening. Liam couldn’t help but want to show off in his own way, for himself or Alaine, he didn’t know. He missed the feel of Alaine’s eyes on him when he danced.

If it wasn't his little soft spot for the male, he most certainly wouldn't have a job to return to. In the past month, every fiber of his being urged him to just get it over with. He knew that Samuel would have gone ahead and fired him if he had been here. But Samuel had been M.I.A. for so long he didn't even bother trying to consult with him. For all he knew, it was business as usual and all the employees were accounted for. Alaine picked at the rest of his muffin until just a few crumbs were left. Gathering his trash, he rose from his chair and was preparing to leave. His phone had gone silent for a couple of minutes and he was ready to go home to bed. Waving goodbye to the owner, Alaine took his coffee and walked out of the shop to his car. After unlocking the door and slipping in to the drivers' seat, his phone buzzed once more. He quickly read the message and smiled. He hoped the male would not disappoint.
Tossing the phone in to the passenger's seat, Alaine ignored it for the rest of the drive. The morning sun was bright and traffic was already starting to pick up. By the time he reached the city, it was already bumper to bumper. As he sat behind a line of unmoving cabs, he picked up his phone, reading the message again. "See you." he text back. Throwing the phone back on to the seat, he looked back to the slow moving traffic. He really did hope to see him again. Alaine shock his head and tried to force the male from his brain. He would deal with it later.
Another thirty or so minutes later, he was pulling up to his home. Parking in his usual spot, he cut the engine and dragged his tired bones out of the car. With his keys in one hand and phone in the other, Alaine locked and unlocked and relocked the doors. The house was quiet and just as he left it. Slipping off his shoes, he padded down the hall to his bedroom and plopped down belly first on to the bed. Curling in to a ball, he made himself comfy and soon drifted off to sleep.

xxxLOCATION At the club. xxxxxx FEELINGS Curious.xxxxxxxx
Liam wouldn’t be surprised if Alaine laid it into him. After all he only deserved it. He had left Alaine wondering what was going on. Liam only had his own set of questions. He did not want to wonder how Alaine had been the past month, after all it would only lead him to crazy ideas.
With a good day of shopping done, it was time to head home. Liam’s car was full of bags of clothes. He had probably overdone it but he didn’t care. Liam just needed to time to think and breath before starting tonight. He hadn’t worked in over a month, but still had a little bit of month stowed away.
It was nearing a little after five o’clock in the evening which mean he didn’t have much longer before he had to get to the club. Liam had dumped his clothes in his bedroom, then stripped off his clothes to get in the shower.
After a quick shower, Liam slipped out of the shower. He grabbed a towel, drying himself off then tucking it around his waist. Liam entered his bedroom, and started pulling clothes from the bags. He looked through them debating on what to wear. Liam finally settled on tight leather shorts with holes cut on the side. He slipped them on along with a pair of low fitting jeans and a gray t-shirt.
Once dressed, Liam grabbed a pair of black converse shoes and socks. He picked up his keys, along with his phones and wallet. Liam had no need for anything else as he turned off the lights in his house. He wouldn’t be back to late in the morning anyways. Heading out the door, he locked it behind him.
Liam arrived earlier at the club as requested. He parked his car in the back near the employee entrance. Liam slipped out of the car, locking it behind him. He headed inside, slipping through the employee entrance which was open. Liam wasn’t sure if Alaine was here, but wouldn’t be surprised if he already was. He continued through the club heading into the main area near the bar and dance floor.

"It was hard being with someone who was still hiding from who he was. He knew Samuel was a private person, but when it came to his family they were in his life in their own way. Micha hated to imagine Samuel being kicked out of his family because of him. He wasn’t in a place to force Samuel to out himself, but he much preferred if Samuel wasn’t afraid. The only thing he could do however was stay by his side and support him.
Taking a sip of his drink, Micha watched Samuel curiously taking note of his silence. He kept his eyes on Samuel as he seemed to look out the window. Hearing the waitress come over, the glanced toward him, but ignored her nonetheless. Watching as Samuel returned his eyes to the window, Micha shifted in his seat. ”What are you thinking about?” He asked curiously stubbing out his cigarette after a few puffs of it.

Sleeping the day away was not his favorite way to spend it. But given the last couple of weeks, it was the only way he knew how. From the time he got home at close to seven-thirty in the morning til five in the afternoon he slept like the dead. No phone calls, text messages, or passing noise from outside could wake him. When he at last awoke, he was feeling well rested. He pealed back the heavy comforter and swung his legs over the side of the bed. His clothes clung awkwardly to his body as he hadn't bothered changing before going to bed. Alaine padded over to the bathroom and stripped down to nothing to take a quick shower. He grimaced as he caught sight of himself in the mirror. His hair was an absolute mess and the small braids he'd put in it earlier were frizzy and all over the place. Time to take it all down. After nearly ten minutes of struggling to take the mop down, he was finally ready to step in to the shower. Turning the knobs, he stepped beneath the warm spray and let the water wash over him.
After some much needed washing and scrubbing, he soon emerged from a cloud of steam. Alaine grabbed a fresh towel from the closet and headed in to his bedroom. Unlike Samuel, he wasn't too concerned about what he wore to work. He simply plucked a pair of destroyed jeans and an over-sized sweatshirt. He then went back to the bathroom and spent another twenty minutes blow drying his hair. He didn't bother styling his hair as he normally would. He figured for now it would be fine. He could mess with it later. Gathering his things, Alaine headed out the door and locked up. At this point he was starting to wonder why he even came back here. The most he ever did was sleep and occasionally eat. But even the latter was becoming a rarity.
Alaine crossed the lawn and slipped in to his car. He followed the same route he took home, making only one minor detour to crap something for dinner from his favorite drive-through. He quickly ordered and paid for the meal before continuing on to the club. Traffic leaving the city was just about as terrible as it was when he came in this morning. By the time he reached the club it was nearing six-thirty. He parked in his usual spot and wasn't the least surprised to find that he was the first to arrive at the club. Alaine went in through the back door, shut off the alarm, and started flipping on a few lights. He then walked down the hall to his once shared office and switched on the light. Coming in to the room, he shut the door behind him and came around the desk, dropping the bag of food on top of it.
He made himself comfortable behind the desk and started in on his dinner. Alaine hadn't really been paying attention so he didn't hear anyone come in to the club. He ate quietly and booted up the computer to check his e-mail and go over the schedule. He didn't realize how hungry he was as he scarfed down his burger and fries until his fingers were prodding at an empty box. He quickly shoved his trash in to the paper bag and rose from his chair. Stepping in to the hall, the club was just as dark and quiet as he left it. He walked down the hall towards the main area to find a trash can. As he walked, Alaine flipped on more lights and unlocked any needed doors such as the restroom and locker room. As he came in to the main area, he stopped in his tracks as he saw the tall figure of his lover. "You're early." he said, once he collected himself. Moving past him, Alaine went around the bar to throw his trash away and turn on a few more lights.

Being early was merely out of habit, but also because he wanted to see Alaine. He couldn’t deny he missed him, but he wasn’t sure he could say the same of the other. Liam hadn’t taken much notice, as he seemed to be the only one in the club. He heard noise in the office, but dismissed it. Liam had started working on cleaning up the few tables scattered around the club.
Taking notice as a few lights came on, he glanced to see Alaine. He stopped what he was doing, and couldn’t help but stare. Hearing Alaine speak, he shook his head. ”Yes..well it wouldn’t do be any good to be late, would it?” Liam spoke smiling at Alaine. He knew if he had been late, then he would get an ear full. Liam much preferred to be early anyways, than late.

Alaine hated to admit that he missed him too. He knew that they weren't exactly exclusive or anything but a text or a phone call would have been nice. Brushing past the male, he felt his gaze follow him as he came around the bar. Alaine pretended not to notice and started to wipe down the counter. He gave a small shrug as the male spoke. "At this point I'd say why the hell not. Everyone else is doing it." he replied. His tone was a bit harsher than he intended, but he couldn't help it. It had been a rough week. He stole a quick glance towards the male to make sure he didn't offend him. Looking back down at the counter, he moved a little further down to continue cleaning it. "Sorry. Uh....so how was the trip?" He soon finished cleaning up the counter and looked around for something else to busy himself with. The last thing he wanted was to see the male wearing his stupid smile when he was trying to be mad at him.

"It was hard not to notice when something was on Samuel’s mind. He tended to get quit and close himself off. His silence only caused him to worry. Micha hated not knowing what he was thinking at times. He worried however if he wanted to know the answer. However he couldn't ignore his silence. Micha found it was never a good thing if Samuel was quiet. Listening to him speak, he understood his fear. He smirked lightly as Samuel spoke of his worry. Micha found it cute to see that Samuel was worried about how the separation between them would cause a rift. He tried not to dwell on the other questions Samuel posed to him however. Micha didn’t want to think of his father. ”Hm, as I said before, we can always video chat while you're in Paris.” He spoke trying to ease Samuel’s worry. It wasn't as if was never going to see him again, it would be a month or two at the most. Micha wondered however it there was more to the worry as if Samuel worried he wouldn’t stay faithful.

Watching Alaine, he wasn’t surprised he seemed to be ignoring him. He deserved it after all. Liam had left Alaine without a word, which was causing him to feel guilty now. Hearing Alaine get snippy with him, he wasn’t bothered. It was to be expected. Liam never found that Alaine was one to be nice with words, always getting to the point. He watched as Alaine moved down the counter staying away from him. Liam stood near the counter, watching Alaine. He nodded as Alaine apologized, though surprised. Liam shrugged lightly, ”No worries. I’m sure I deserve it.” He spoke softly, as he moved to take a seat at the counter. Liam wanted Alaine’s forgiveness after all he hadn’t called or texted, or even given a hint if he would be back. ”I’m sorry too Alaine, for leaving without a word.” He spoke softly, not wanting to bring up the matter of his ‘vacation’. Liam knew if he talked about it, he was likely to tear up.

With nothing to keep his hands busy he was only able to stand there awkwardly. It was true that Liam deserved his attitude but the angry he felt wasn't from anything he'd done. He was tired of playing boss and wanted to go home for a couple of days and not see this place. Alaine nodded as the male spoke, accepting his apology. As he heard a bit of movement in front of him, he looked up to see the male taking a seat at the counter. Alaine stayed rooted to his spot in front of the counter. Neither taking a step front nor back. He nodded again, though it wasn't really the answer to the question he was asking. "It's fine. You're lucky we had enough part-timers to fill your slot." he replied. This time he chose his words carefully. Though there was still a small bite to his tone. He looked around again, wanting an escape. Even though he'd been thinking about it all month, he still wasn't ready to have this conversation. "Did you meet anyone while you were gone?" he asked, since he obviously wasn't going to get a response for his first one.
