She shrugged, " I have absolutely no idea. Well.. Maybe they were trying to make it more convenient for people to get from place to place? Like those Ess-Kam-a-Later things muggles use."
She took a moment and thought about it more. "Or, maybe they did it so that outsiders would not be able to get around as well? I think that that is probably more likely." She concluded and nodded to herself. "Yes, I think that must be it."
This little conversation made her remember something, I HAVE to get 'Hogwarts: A History' from Will or Tamara. I keep forgetting!

That reasoning hadn't occured to her. Of course it would make sense that the moving stares would keep those who do not know the place well confused. She laughed at Indala's pronunciation, or attempt to pronounce the word. "It's called an escalator" she giggled.

Ugh, there I go again making a fool of myself.
"Oh, an EsKa-luh-tor." She looked over questioningly at Levana, wondering if she had pronounced it right.
She sighed and laughed at herself, Maybe I should just stick to what I know

Levana laughed heartily," No no it is Es ka lay tor" she giggled at her friends confusion. She never meant it in a mean way but it was always funny to her when others had difficulty pronouncing certain words. More so than what they say, their actions are what made her laugh.

"Es ka lay tor, Eska Lay tor, Escalator, Escalator!" She beamed as the last word that fell from her mouth mimicked what Levana had said. "Thanks, I felt like a bumbling idiot." She laughed at herself lightheartedly.
"So, do you think you are ready to go see your brother yet? I'm sure he's probably wondering what I've done with you." She laughed again and shifted in her seat, playing with a piece of her hair.

Levana smiled, "Well as long as I don't have red eyes and look like a total wreck I think It will be good for me to go see him and calm him down" she laughed as she stood up. Her uniform was a little messed up and she tried to smooth it as best as possible. "How do I look?" she asked with a sheepish smile. A smile that mimicked her brothers almost perfectly.

Indala smiled up at her, noticing the familiarity of her smile. It looked a lot like her brothers.
She looked Levana up and down smiling. " You look great."
Memories of conversations with her mother came back to Indala. Times when she had cried so much she thought she would never be able to stop. Her mother had always been the one who had held her and did her best to cheer her up.
Her father had seen her that way once, and completely, utterly rejected the sight of her; her eyes swollen red and puffy, hair a mess, clothes disheveled. It was the first time she had ever witnessed first hand her father hit her mother, or maybe it was just the first time she had been able to remember it. She was about six years old then.
Afterward that incident, her mother would always make sure to use a spell to recompose either of them after they had dealt with Demetrius Grey. It could be used to disillusion anything from puffy eyes to a runny nose, and help smooth out clothes. Indala wished she had learned the spell from her, it would have been useful even away from her father.
"Come on," she said, standing to her feet and offering a hand to Levana. "Let's go see Nevin."

Levana smiled as Indala complimented her," Thank you ". The smiled faded as she noticed Indala seemed a little distant. She grabbed her hand but didnt move, "Are YOU alright Indala?" she asked feeling a bit worried for her new friend.

Indala shook herself of her memories and smiled at Levana, holding on to her hand. "Yes, I'm fine now that you're okay. Let's go quell your brother's worries." She lead Levana out through the portrait of the Fat Lady. ((Next post in Seventh Floor Corridor))

Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-PorpingtonSir Nicholas passed through the wall of the Gryffindor Common Room and nodded to the portraits who welcomed him. He stopped before Professor Dumbledore's portrait. Having a nice little chat was always fascinating, especially with someone like the old Headmaster. Nicholas sighed and glided to the window, looking outside at the Dark Lake.

Indala dragged herself into the common room and flopped on the closest couch she could find. Her mind reeled with thoughts, but she suppressed most of them and focused mainly on what Arthur had just asked her to do.
How am I supposed to keep something like this away from Will? He's already so upset. She frowned and looked up the stairway that lead to the boy's dormitories sighing.
Ugh, Arthur probably thinks I'm a chip off the ol' block the way I was acting. I'm just so on edge! Angrily she flipped over on to her stomach and ran her fingers through the plush carpet absentmindedly.
She hadn't noticed Nearly-headless Nick until he sighed. "Oh, sorry I didn't see you there," she said to him tiredly, resting her head on one of her hands.
She had really hoped for some peace, but apparently that was a bit too much to ask of the common room.

Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-PorpingtonSir Nicholas let out a small yelp as he heard Indala's voice pass through his ears. He cleared his throat and glided to her. "Hello, Mrs Indala.", he smiled kindly at her, "How are you today? Well, I hope?" he inquired.

"Been better," she replied grumpily. " I just met Arthur Radcliffe. He told me to tell you he said 'hi' if I saw you." She paused, "Sorry, he's not the reason I've been better. He just contributed."
She glanced up toward the boy's dormitories again and then focused again on the ghost in front of her. " You haven't happened to see his son Will around have you?" She rubbed one of her temples as she spoke. A headache was starting to form there from the strain of forcing herself to stay awake.

Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-PorpingtonSir Nicholas nodded slowly as he listened to her. What could chagrin her so much? Of course, he won't ask, that would be impolite or rude. "Thank you.", he nodded to her again, this time with a friendly, peaceful smile, "No, my apologies, not today. May I ask why?" he questioned curiously.

She pushed her self up into a sitting position and placed her feet on the ground. "He just ran off earlier and I'm pretty worried about him. I think he might have gone to his room, but I don't want to intrude." She shrugged. "I guess I'll just go take a nap and hope I catch him later or something." She finished the sentence through a yawn, using her hand to cover her mouth.
Finally remembering her manners she smiled faintly at Nick. "How have you been lately?"
