He couldn't make Micha trust him. It was going to take some time. But he couldn't help feeling like Micha was just waiting for the other shoe to drop. If he wanted to hold a grudge, fine. That was his choice and his right as he was the victim in the situation. At some point though he was going to have to start trusting him again. He was going to have to believe that a work meeting was work, his friends were just his friends, and in no shape, form, or fashion was he cheating on him. If somebody else chose to put their hands on him, it was not his fault. What happened with Grisha was not his fault. He was just as upset about the situation as Micha was. There was no part of him that was even remotely attracted to Grisha. His face might have been nice but his personality was completely warped. He didn't need another man like that when he already had Micha. Samuel did his best to explain his side and watched the male nod quietly. "Good." he replied. In all honesty though he didn't completely believe him. He just didn't want to start an unnecessary fight. He couldn't force things to go back to the way they were. Micha was going to have to learn to trust him in his own way.

He couldn't apologize enough for his wrong doing. Nor should he have to. He couldn't make it anymore clear that he regretted his choice and still deeply cared for the man. He understood all too well that such wounds took time to heal. Samuel worried though that it may never heal. That this would be their life from now on. Just dancing around the same issue again and again until somebody snapped. He had no plans of running off again, as he put it. He had learned his lesson. All that was left was to see if Micha would ever want to truly forgive him.
Samuel turned his gaze down to his mug and sipped his coffee. He was glad to be down with one awful subject. Though he wondered if they could stay clear from similar topics for awhile. They hadn't even been together half an hour and they were already bickering. He glanced up as the male spoke again, having changed topics. It was a bit of an odd question. One he hadn't give much thought in to. "Hmm.....I guess my first would be to just travel more. There's plenty of world I haven't seen yet. My second thing would be at some point get married and buy my own place. And third.....I don't know. Maybe just sell the club and start from scratch with a new business. I'd like to see if my luck with the club was just that. Or if I could manage to make another place just as successful." he replied, pulling the first three ideas from his head. They were all pretty random, but it was better than remaining silent or saying he didn't know. "What are your three?" he asked just as curious. He doubted Micha's would match his own. Still, he wanted to know what they were.

By changing the subject, he just wanted to get back on a level of understanding. He didn’t think bothering Samuel about Grisha was in his best interest. Micha knew that he needed to move on from Samuel cheating on him. He had taken a year to do so. Micha knew if he hadn’t at least forgiven Samuel, he wouldn’t be here now. He wanted to move on, he didn’t want to think about that night in Paris, or the sound of another man’s voice on Samuel’s phone. That was one of the things that struck him the most, he knew he needed to trust Samuel more. After all if he didn’t then what was the point of getting together and moving onto the future.
Bickering was simply in their nature. There usually was never a time they weren’t. Sometimes they were almost like an old married couple, expect being neither old or married. Micha watched as Samuel seemed surprised by his question. He didn’t mind, he was just trying to move the conversation along instead of sitting in silence as they normally would. Micha listened as Samuel spoke a little surprised by the last one. He knew Samuel had built the club from scratch up, but he never imagined he would sell it.
He smiled at Samuel as he was in turn questioned, seeing as it was only fair. ”Well...I definitely want to travel. See new things and try new things...Going on a cruise would be interesting, where I’m not sure yet...And learn a new instrument.” Micha spoke listing of the last one randomly. He wasn’t sure about the idea yet, but it was something he was rolling around in his mind and always had. Micha smiled at Samuel, ”Though marriage, I never wanted to get married.” He spoke randomly in reference to Samuel’s desire to get married as one of his bucket list items. Micha didn’t see the thrill of it, at least until he met Samuel.

Samuel was happy for the change in topic. It was obvious that Micha wasn't going to get over being cheated on anytime soon. He understood that. Hell he'd lived through it. Still, it hurt him to have that burden held over him when he already apologized multiple times. He wasn't expecting Micha to forget. That would probably never happen, no matter how much he wished it. But he wanted him to move on. He wanted both of them to be able to move on. If they couldn't then it was pointless getting back together.
He then went on to talk about the first three bucket list items he could think for. They weren't as well thought out as they ought to be. Still, they were some things he had been thinking of. The third being one he'd played with the longest. While the club was his pride and joy, he wasn't sure he wanted to run it long term. Between the hours, keeping customers and clients happy, and the cost to keep the place running as well as up to code, it was almost too much. Even with the help of his employees and Alaine. Sometimes he wondered if it would just be easy to take a break from all that and get a normal 9 to 5 job.
Turning the question back on Micha, he listened as the male listed off three items. It was nice to know that they both wanted to travel. Though he wondered if he or Micha were to suggest that they travel together, could they agree on a destination. Leaning an instrument sounded interesting. Though he wondered what instrument he would want to learn. His last item was something that made him curious. Weren't they just talking about a hypothetical wedding last night. "So if I were to get down on one knee right and propose you're going to reject me?" he asked curiously.

The idea of marriage had never been something he wanted to do, before he meet Samuel. However now he couldn’t see himself with anyone but Samuel. He had never been in a relationship usually longer than a few months, or as short as a week. Micha never even saw himself marrying Samuel however especially knowing he was going to be married to someone else in the beginning. He wondered though if Samuel had gotten married, how long they would have lasted. Micha didn’t see himself as a secret lover though. He didn’t think he could do it, being Samuel’s mistress, his secret.
Now that the possibilities of marriage was possible, he worried. Micha didn’t want to rush things. He wanted to take things slow. Micha wanted to make sure that Samuel really wanted to be with him and works things out. He knew they had talked about getting married, but for now it was all talk. Micha would wait for the day Samuel proposed to him. He listened as Samuel spoke questioning him. Micha shook his head, ”I didn’t say that.” He spoke smiling lightly at Samuel. ”What, I mean was. I never thought of marriage before. I didn’t see myself tied to one person indefinitely.” Micha spoke, as he moved to take a sip of his coffee. ”And when a person is tied to another even before they meet, it’s hard to think about being married with you. For all I knew I was going to end up being your mistress.” He spoke teasing Samuel, about being his secret lover.

For as long as he could remember the idea of getting married never appealed to him either. Though not in the same way it was unappealing for Micha. At least Micha got to be picky about his men. Samuel on the other hand recalled years of sneaking around like it was a crime. From inviting "friends" over to study in high school, purposely moving into the dorms in college, and hooking up in the club. His arranged marriage combined with being in the closet was torture. After meeting Micha, he hated thinking of the future. He hated to think just how much longer they would have been together if he had gone through with the arrangement. The answer to his thoughts were, probably not very long. After all, even after the wedding he would be expected to perform his duties as a husband, cut back on his work hours, have babies, move out of the city, sell the club, and get a nice, normal, boring day job. All the things he hated and more.
Since coming out and destroying all his parents dreams of marrying him off like they did his brothers, he had given some thought about what the future might hold in store. He knew what he wanted. It was just not being able to do it with the only person who mattered most. With Micha back in his life, he knew he was getting ahead of himself by talking about such things. In his defense though, it was the happiest he'd been in a year. He couldn't help it if he was a little excited. He saw no harm in talking about their hopes and dreams. It would probably be more weird if they didn't.
Samuel was honestly curious how Micha's reaction would be the day he proposed. Would he smiled like normal and simply agree? Or would he become a tad more emotional than usual? In the end, he would just have to be patient and wait. He watched the male go on to shake his head in response to his question. A small smile graced his lips as he explained himself. He laughed a bit at the last part. He'd been lying if the idea hadn't crossed his mind a few times. But then he always worried how it may affect Micha. Surely he would not be happy with the arrangement, always having to place second to his wife and possible family. It just sounded wrong. "If I was still engaged, let's be honest. You'd be my secret husband. If anyone would be the mistress it would have been her. Not the other way around." he teased back. He could just see his family's face if he did that. The day he went to go register for a marriage certificate with her would go into ruin as it would then come out that he was already married to Micha.

Indeed talking about their hopes and dreams was important. At least if they could get a better understand, perhaps things would be easier for them. Micha didn’t mind marrying Samuel, though he found it scary. The man practically knew everything there was about him, and yet he worried he would one day become bored with him. He didn’t want that. Micha feared the abandonment from Samuel, as much as he feared the getting hurt by him. He knew Samuel would never hurt him on purpose, but he had already done it once. Micha didn’t think he could handle it again. He didn’t want to dwell on it however. Micha would worry about it when and if the time came.
As he explained himself, he watched as Samuel seemed to laugh at him. Micha rolled his eyes a little, not liking being laughed at when he was serious. He listened as Samuel spoke responding to his last words. Micha smiled lightly, ”Oh really? So would you be spending your weekends with her or me? “ He asked teasing Samuel, as he leaned on the table, crossing his arms.

It did neither of them good talking about that man. For all he cared, he was out of their lives and hopefully would not be making the mistake of showing up a third time. Liam had made himself perfectly clear that they were through. Any further business he thought he might have with Alaine was unwarranted. He was moving on with his life. When he went back to work he would hold his head high and put up a nice, big "HELP WANTED" ad outside the club. There was no way in hell that Liam would be stepping foot back into his and Sam's club.
With thoughts of food in mind, Alaine got out of bed and turned to see if the male might join him. He watched as Jepsen collected both his boxers and pants. He didn't mind if the male had wanted to stay naked or just walk around in his underwear. After all, it was only the two of them. He waited for Jepsen to dress, when he was ready he led the way out of his bedroom, down the hall, and back down the stairs. They then walked down the hallway past the dining room and straight into the kitchen. It was a bit large for just him, still he liked it. Coming around the counter, he went over to the pantry and stood on his tip toes as he grabbed the plastic tray from the top shelf. He turned to Jepsen as he set the tray down on the middle island. "Voilà! Blueberry muffins." he said, smiling up at the man. "Should I make some new coffee or maybe eggs or....something to go with it?" he asked. he did't want to be a bad host. But he wasn't entirely sure what all the male liked.

In terms of fears and doubts, Samuel was feeling the same way. He knew that Micha did not have to come back to him. The thought of marrying him scared him too. He worried that Micha would grow bored of many things; the comfortable lifestyle they could both have, his obnoxious family, the way they had sex, the way he spent his money, the list went on and on. There were just so many things that could go wrong in a lifelong partnership. He too feared that one day Micha would be bored enough to up and push him away. He did not want to experience the pain of them drifting apart again. Nor would he put Micha through the pain of cheating on him again. If their relationship were to die, he'd rather it be from a more natural end rather than their own stupidity.
Samuel didn't mean to laugh. He knew that Micha was speaking sincerely. Still, the thought amused him some. Since coming out and dropping his engagement, he had not once thought about those dark days. He was now free to love whomever he pleased without the needed consent of his parents. Even if they had not allowed him to end his engagement he would have chosen Micha over his fiance. That woman was no one to him. They had met less than a handful of times in his entire life and had nothing in common aside from the fact that their families knew each other. He smirked as Micha went on to tease him about arrangements. "You." he replied without a doubt in his mind. "If she's lucky, she'd get every third Wednesday. Though you'd both probably have to share Thanksgiving and Christmas."

Micha knew there was no need for Samuel or he to worry about his ex-fiance. After all Samuel had already came out to his family. He wished he could have been there to see it. However he would just have to settle for their first family dinner together. Micha had already met Samuel’s brothers, but they were accepting. He couldn’t help but be nervous about meeting Samuel’s parents. Micha wasn’t sure when the day would come, but knew he had to face the inevitable. He wanted to meet them, so that wasn’t his fear. Micha worried what Samuel’s family would think of them, or the many questions he knew would come.
Teasing Samuel about his ex was easy. After all he never thought the day would come that he wouldn’t have to worry about it. Then again, if he stayed around long enough he had to wonder what else would have happened. Micha listened as Samuel laughed softly at his words. ”Fine, she can have thanksgiving and I’ll take Christmas.” He teased back, the idea of thanksgiving didn’t matter to him. After all he had never really celebrated it with anyone. ”Though would we have to celebrate Christmas with your family, or do I get to have you by myself?” Micha asked curiously, though he kind of guessed already his family would want him home to celebrate Christmas. He already knew Grisha and Taisia would bother him to come over for Christmas, because they didn’t want him to be alone. At least he hoped this year he wouldn’t be.
